    Duran/Douglas/Dempsey. Don't sleep on Triple D.

    In order: Dempsey/Duran/Douglas = Toledo/Montreal/Tokyo aka TMT.

    Chinese
    Japanese
    TMT
    Triple D's

Montreal Duran only exists in a world where an opponent comes straight at him to fight.

This it's this lack of knowledge on the events that gets old after awhile. SRL tried to fight how he always fought people. Just look at the Wilfred fight, which was his best fight up to date, the fought similarly there. He was the boxer puncher. He wanted to control the center of the ring and use his God given talents to beat the other guy to the punch. That is how he fought. He tried to do the same to Duran, and take control of the fight. Problem was, he got hurt and that clouded his vision for rounds after, and Duran just wasn't having it that night. But to think all SRL did was just come straight forward and nothing else is comical

You clinging to this revisionist tale of SRL as a flat-footed fighter gets old too! The way you tell it, nobody would be surprised that Leonard came out fighting a flat-footed aggressive fight against Duran. Yet in reality the stunned announcers are already screaming about it seconds into the fight:

Why should we look at how he fought Benitez, a slick counter-puncher, instead of the more recent fight against a physically aggressive, tough opponent, Davey Boy Green fight?

SRL also circles, bounces around, and/or backs up further distances in any number of his earlier fights that are available on youtube including: Mando Muniz, Pete Ranzany, Marcos Geraldo, Rafael Rodriguez, Rocky Ramon, Danny Gonzalez, Frank Santore, etc.

Why do you insist on trying to hoodwink people into thinking that Leonard always fought like he fought in Duran I?? :nono

Hoodwink LOL. That's a funny word. Well, maybe because that IS how he fought. You act like SRL didn't try and circle and box and step away. He did. I think you need to watch the fight again if you think he just stays flat footed the entire time. He doesn't.

Nobody should've been surprised at all. Why? Well because SRL and Dundee ACTIVELY talked about fighting that exact same way. The made it clear this is how they planned on fighting the smaller Duran. You know this to be true, and I know this to be true.

I honestly don't think you've watched enough of his fights to realize this was OFTEN his strategy. Control the center of the ring and be the boxer puncher. You seem to think he usually fought like he did in Duran 2, and that is being blatantly disingenuous. Look at this video, and look at his KO's. That is how he fought.

Yes, LOOK at the Danny Green fight

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KgRxbrFN1us

This looks NOTHING like Duran 2. In fact, AGAIN it's more reminiscent more of Duran 1. Notice how he's still trying to control the center of the ring. Notice again, how he's being the boxer puncher. Only very occasionally was he moving on his bike. It was rare.

I'm starting to think you need to watch more SRL. He fought WAY more like he did in Duran 1 than he did in Duran 2. That is unquestionable. Again, the BEST fighters he faced.. he did the same damn thing. Control the center, be aggressive and use your God given talents to control the fight and take them out. Wilfred, Hearns and Sr. are just two examples. It baffles me that you think SRL was more of Duran 2 type of guy. That couldn't be further from the truth.

Duran of Montreal would beat Mayweather .. Floyd did not have enough to keep him off .. Duran's speed would give him trouble as well ..

Mayweather went life and death with Castillo and Maidana, they can't hold Duran's spit bucket. Duran would have mauled him.

Duran's ferocity and unpredictability would have carried him to victory.

Do you actually know what irony is?

    Mayweather has had 49 fights.

25 of them in Vegas ( where he lives )

and 5 in Michigan (where he was born )

That leaves a " whole " 19 fights in cities / states he has no connection with. Whoopee f*&%ing Doo.:rofl:rofl
