Álvarez torpedoed a couple of SOLID right hand leads above the belt line early but could not capitalize as Mayweather started to pivot, ricochet off the ropes, and buoy around his target while still attacking often with his quick jab off the hip. Mayweather resorting to clinching - tired by his standards. Álvarez's body work paying off more than Mayweather is letting on. He's doing a lot more jogging in place than usual and isn't letting the shots fly as much as just a round or two earlier. Mayweather sucks in his gut and bends forward while skating along the ropes to create a pocket of air to encase Álvarez's hard jab aimed for his belly. Mayweather takes a bow while still moving laterally.

Álvarez looking to rough Mayweather up in the clinches, using the free hand to shovel into the body and chop down across the neck, but almost nothing connects flush with Mayweather's arms in the way and head dropping & lolling evasively. Very little offense from Mayweather, literally reduced to just pot shot jabs, but with his defensive work they're enough to clinch the shutout.

As of when I'm bumping this right now this thread has a little over a thousand views and 99% of those are from that night, over 1½ years ago. It hit a 1k that night, I remember.
