Assuming Khan doesn't get Ko'd, can Canelo win on points?

More to the point, the only person that's outpointed Canelo was Mayweather, so I'm not going to automatically assume he can't outpoint Khan.

 

As I said name a fighter who has outpointed Khan over 12 rounds bar PEDerson???? ( A fight many fought Khan still won)

If the fight goes 12 rounds Khan has a great chance..

 

Again, it's negated by the fact he gets sparked. Good technical boxers don't get caught with basic shots like Khan has. I think he'll start well and win the first 3-4 rounds, then stay in the pocket for too long as he so often does and then get caught - probably with a left counter again.

Has he outpointed a boxer as strong, skilled and experienced as Canelo (in your opinion)?

 

Should be assuming khan doesnt get ko,d can he win on points. Khans actually a terrible boxer. Dont know where the idea hes some tremendous boxers came from...probably himself. Hes an accumulation puncher and thats about it. Great speed that can cause people trouble. Especially when he was younger.

How can you be an expert boxer and yet need to rely on virgil hunter to shout instructions constantly.

I dont get it. Peterson beat him fair and square for my money. Maidana chased him about the ring. And garcia timed him after about 2 rounds. Diaz gave him trouble and alegeri gave him a lot of trouble. Talks about only maywrather being able to outbox him are wide of the mark.

 

Well Khan has done well bearing he gets caught with Basic Shots, he only been KO twice in his career..

No Khan has not, Has Canelo faced a fast handed fighter like Khan?

Last time he faced someone like that he lost to him, Mayweather..

Khan sticks to a gameplan, Khan can do the same make no mistake of that..

Yeah, Lara has fast hands and is much better boxer than Khan. It was close, but Canelo won.

He sticks to a gameplan much better under Hunter, no doubting that but I just don't think he has the gameplan at 155 to beat Canelo.

Canelo is 4/7 with Paddy power lads, easy money

 

I really dont get why anyone can compare khan to mayweather. Mayweathers skillset is on another level. Khan doesnt have much skill what he has is incredible speed and thats about it. Thats not even one punch speed but mainly when he punches in accumulation It can cause good fighters problems but not for a prolonged period of time. The difference between mayweather and khan is mayweather picks his shots. Khan just throws shots. Just lets his hands go.

Hunter wants khan to slow down and think about what hes doing. The problem with that is all the top players are better at khan at doing that. Its actually a disadvantage for khan. Since moving to hunter hes already struggled with diaz and algeri plus the collazo performance wasnt great either. He would have beat all of them better under roach.

Roach had the best idea to do with khan. Get in range let the hands go then get out. The problem came when khan continued to ignore roaches warnings not to stay in throwing too many shots. Khan was a hard nites work for most under roach around the time he beat judah mallinagi. He may have picked up little tricks etc from hunter but the style change has hurt khan more than its helped him. Even under roach hes just not gonna be elite level.

 

Canelo can win any way he wants.

Khan has to find something to make Alvarez uncomfortable. May was able to do that with hard precise counter punching that put him on the back foot.

Kahn isnt a counter puncher and he doesn't hit as hard as Mayweather but if he can find something to put Canelo on the back foot he might win.

This is Alvarez's fight to loose unless - Khan fights perfectly and puts on a once in a lifetime performance

 

Agree with a lot of that but the Peterson fight was one of the most corrupt fights on the modern era. They weren't even subtle about the cheating weather it be drugs, the man in the hat interfering with scoring etc.

He could have used a blow pipe ring side to administer the pellets bear in mind it's medical now tell me how it's OK for khans fellow brother strum to cheat and that's not mentioned or is accepted

 

Khan's jab will become completely ineffective within a couple of rounds, and he will be forced to trade with Canelo in range to get any success; which is when it will start to get a wee bit embarrassing for Amir.

Expect Khan to go into survival mode pretty quickly. He has nowhere near the range or trickyness of Lara and Canelo was still able to close the gap enough to land serious leather in that fight, so I'll be surprised if Khan can stand up to it for too long.

Maidana was not an elite fighter at the time either before anyone mentions him.

 

Well So called Elite fighters didn't want to fight him, Not Khan's fault been chasing them last 2 years..

Is Canelo elite enough?
