I know they say its bliss....but there are intelligent people out there laughing at you and taking everything of yours....including your pride and dignity ggg doesn't field offers from fighters not named canelo, froch, chavez or floyd....unless canelo actually wanted to come to the table....ggg picks an opponent....tells them what they'll get and where to be....and they show up happily to get their check....that's how it works...unless hes dealing with a canelo, froch or a chavez then it will be ggg calling the shots.... so with that being said...it would unequivocally be up to ggg to make an offer to lara... even if ggg had a fight lined up...and lara called him out? what would be so bad about that.... basically says to me "hey man I see you fighting how bout you look at me next"? right?? so now run along with your other excuses like "oh man lara has no chance anwyway...ggg would kill him so theres no point"...or "go do something at 160 and get in line"..... you superfanboys are a joke

I'm just as bad as you guys really, considering we're now discussing the same topics on about 9 different threads. Why would GG focus on a JMW when he wants to obtain all of the belts at MW and he has mandatory obligations? I like Lara. I'd like to see the fight. But Lara doesn't bring a belt to the table, he's not a mandatory, and he doesn't bring in big money. So GG isn't going to go out of his way to fight him in a voluntary.
Weren't WBA planning on enforcing mandos to ditch the secondary belts? Jacobs vs Lara should be easy enough to make.

I think the point Shockmaster is making is that if GGG wanted the Lara fight, he could make it easily enough himself. Which is true. I think the point you other guys are making, is that - if he does want all the MW belts - it doesn't make sense for him to fight a JMW who doesn't bring a belt or fill a mandatory obligation for any of his current MW belts. Why would golovkin duck Lara though? What would Lara have for golovkin if they were to fight? He'd just run all night until he gets stopped with a body shot.. Anyone with half a boxing brain knows that big gennady would cut the ring in half on little erislandy.. Stevens, Monroe, Lemieux etc. we're mandatory fights. Why didn't Floyd fight Amir khan, or Keith Thurman(his mandatory). Why didn't Floyd fight Lara himself(Lara was floyds mandatory at one point if I recall correctly)
