Resume wise yes. And style match up yes but he doesn't look nearly as good as he did before Wlad. I would have him in the bottom 3rd of my top ten.
Hardly. He looked so poor. His jab was brilliant at times, as was his 1-2. But outside of that, he has nothing. Nothing. No left hook to speak of. No uppercuts, no punch selection, no defence, no inside game at all. He had potential, but he'd need a good trainer, and probably he's too old for that.
He's top 10 for sure, maybe top 5 depending on styles, but the way he ****ed away the title shot my trying to replicate the Corrie Sanders blitzkrieg was not a smart fight, and I believe he'd suffer a similar, IF NOT EARLIER fate if he tries that vs Wilder or Joshua. He's really gotta stay behind his jab, it's second to none in the division for both it's power and it's speed, and it's set up from range by the ever so slight, but perfection of foot, that he seems to forget about vs some opponents or during various stages of a fight. It appeared vs DelBoy yesterday, that his footwork was negated by DelBoys constant bumrushing and Kubrat's willingness to continuously tie up and be reset. But vs guys who believe they can beat him from the outside using their height, it seems he always gets that rock solid jab underneath their own and drills em with it. He's top 10, but I doubt he's Champion material. At 36, he's likely to get another shot and hang near the top 10-20, but at this point, his shot at the top has past. :think
He looked awful against a shot to **** Chisora, he has absolutely no chance against either Wilder or Joshua.
Can't see him beating Femi but who knows, he might have the style to cause him problems or he might get ko'd again like he was by Wlad.
Probably still top10, but he looked aged last night... Unless he does something radical and starts keeping in shape and training all the time I do not give him much of a chance.
This. Never understood his number 2 ranking or even being in the top 10. Even Antonio Tarver at almost 50 would beat him.
He had defeated, wihout any difficulties, some very solid opponents, before Wlad destroyed him. Yesterday, he was much better than Chisora (119-109 or 118-110, in any case Chisora didn't win more than two rounds) and I expect Pulev to get one more chance - one more payday (and prove if he is champions material).
