Canelo is spot on, screw the corrupt title that has already been fought for at a CW four times consecutively and approved by the joke WBC and GGG should just come down to 155 like he would have for Floyd and fight for an event like lasts night's.

That was a huge event, GGG would get incredible exposure, a MASSIVE pay day, and all the credit in the world for beating a Canelo.

I cannot comprehend how GGG fans cry so much on message boards everyday when it is GGG himself that is allowing the WBC to get away with this.. No one is forcing GGG to accept the step aside money, not once but twice, and his fans are on here blaming everyone else but the man who has had the power to force the WBC to enforce their rules.

GBP are making an offer to GG, hopefully he realizes that what's at stake is bigger than a tainted title.

Step aside money is free cash for not fighting. Only an idiot would refuse, especially when the fight will be forced eventually.

I'm a fan of both, but being given money for doing nothing is an easy decision.

He's been paid twice and now the fight will (hopefully) be forced

    Is this his next excuse???

Isal, don't worry, GPB won't put Canelo in with anyone that can beat him. Don't expect him to fight Quillin or Jacobs either.

They'll find a soft touch they can drag up from welterweight to fight at 155, so you can continue to cheer him in mismatches.

Have you got a brain injury or something?

Confirmation bias at it's greatest. This forum is flooded with GGG detractors complaining 24/7.

First, did Canelo really say that?

So you would rather see the fight with one fighter being drained and not knowing what the 5 pounds will dobto him. That sounds pretty fair.

I don't believe GGG/K2 accepts another step aside this time. They are supposed to have an agreement in writing that allowed both 1 fight.

I'm not optimistic, but let's see how this plays out over the next few weeks.

I'm guessing it might go to a purse bid that gives GGG more than 90/10 and will allow the fight to take place within the MW range

Yes he did. He said it in his post fight interview with Kellerman and he said it in the post fight press conference.

He also said they will be making GGG an offer.

Canelo has never fought at the 160 limit, we know nothing of a 160 Canelo. GGG already said he would be willing to fight as low as 154.

Canelo invited GGG into the ring, and he reiterated that their fight should not be for belts but for the fans.
