That would have been considered a full on death sentence and a disgrace for the sport. I could see GGG getting criticized to no end. Whereas, Canelo gets a pass.
You do know that GGGs team and Loeffler have been trying to make a GGG-Kell Brook fight right? Edit: On top of that alot of people are criticizing the fight.
It would have been a brutal mismatch that would have showcased GGG's offensive power, but would have still garnered him criticism, I'm afraid.
Joking aside, I was really surprised at the lack of Ring generalship displayed by Alvarez...he is no better than Lemeiux ...
Fight would've ended quicker. It took time for Canelo to warm up and get locked in to finally get the Ko, 6 rounds worth. Khan's movement troubled Canelo a lot and confused his timing, made him miss quite a bit in foolish fashion. Had Canelo had better footwork, balance and cut the ring off better, the fight could've ended quicker but he lacks those traits that ggg has.
Not really, no. That was only Brook, or Hearn, wanting to capitalize on Khan fighting Canelo. They only wanted to show they were willing to come up in weight fighting a more dangerous fighter than Kahn because they were probably bitter Khan vs Brook was not happening. Nothing will come of it.
