157 is not fair.

He's a mandatory, and he doesn't have to come in under 160 according to the rules of boxing.

 

Canelo has accepted 160.

 

There ARE......that is IF it goes to purse bid.

Which it will NOT.

GGG will HAVE to concede to make this fight.

If he makes no concessions, then he'll be fighting Heiland or Johnson or even rematching Macklin for the vacant title.

He'd be a complete fool to pass on even 20% if he can get Canelo to ALLOW him 158. :-(

It is ENTIRELY a belt issue! Nobody would care about this fight yet, if Canelo didn't get the MIDDLEWEIGHT belt from Cotta.

It is a mismatch. It has no right to be. Drop the belt, Canelo. Just drop it.

 

Sad but true. It's an easy night for GGG. After all el pollos posturing I'm kind of looking forward to seeing him get a beat down though.
