    1. Knocks out Alvarez for the lineal middleweight title
    2. Knocks out Saunders to unify all 4 belts at 160
    3. Beats Jack, Degale, or Ramirez for the super middleweight lineal title and 2 or 3 of the belts
    5. Loses 120-108 to Ward for the light heavyweight lineal title

Would he then need to drop to 168 and unify all 4 belts or something?

As far as the lineal title goes, Ward won't get past Kovalev or even face Steveson, so that's a moot point.

This is just a thread about a hypothetical situation, not about whether GGG would take the fight or not. What does it take for someone in GGG's position to be an ATG?

Honest question out of interest CST80: who would you pick Ward vs Stevenson?

I think he beats Kovalev but the Stevenson point is probably true.

So let's say Kovalev beats Ward and Stevenson, then GGG loses to Kovalev by KO.

No shame in losing to Kovalev by KO, but no I don't think the wins you listed above qualify someone as an ATG.

    Win over Ward and/or Kovalev?

If not, then he really has no shot at ATG-ness unless unifying divisions counts for something. Alvarez, Ward, and Kovalev are the only real good names in his weight range.

You said losing. But if he wins over either of them, then yeah he'd be in the convo for an ATG.

Barrera won 3 rounds against Ward while Bika won anywhere from 4-6, you really think Ward shuts him out. Grow up. If he unifies 160, keeps racking up title defense and has the odd fight at 168 while beating the man there it would seem quite comparable to Hopkins minus the age thing.

If he KO's alvarez, keeps racking up 160 defenses and beats the #1 SMW he would already be regarded as an ATG. If he were to beat the man at 175 he would be regarded as a top 100 ATG likely cracking the top 85.

Zurdo is levels below GGG. The Man went 12 rounds with a shot AA.

    The key word was 'if'...

I'm of the opinion that a KO of Alvarez, lineal + unification at 160, lineal + unification at 168, and an attempt at Ward or Kovalev at 175 is enough for ATG. Win over either one is definitely ATG.
