I have no time for childish posters who have agendas against particular boxers and have to resort to name calling due to a lack of intelligence. Go watch your UFC

:deal And that sums it up.

Lennox didn't have a great chin, it was average but well good enough when he was firing on all cylinders and defending properly. His fault (and Rahman's credit) for getting clonked.

Lewis sometimes gets sold short on his durability, but you can’t completely exonerate him on this.

He was the only top ten heavyweight to get taken out like that, and I don’t buy the argument that Rahman was some kind of wrecking ball.

Every 240 pound man built like Rahman is a wrecking ball.

That certainly doesn't "exonerate" Lewis. His lack of skill, failure to anticipate, and generally apalling defense in this case condemns him more than if it was only a 'glass jaw'.

An absolute **** version of Tyson took 167 punches to the face against a prime 249 lbs lenni but didn't go down via just one big shot to the face.

People seriously need to quit making such looserish excuses for lenni. No excuse to go down via one big shot to the face.

Not every man of Rahman’s size has been an exceptional puncher for the heavyweight class.

My point is that we can’t exonerate Lewis based solely on Rahman’s size, the rest of his record would have to back up the idea that he was a top puncher.

The only one who needs to get over him is you. You're obsessed you boring one trick pony.

In the thread of top ten middleweights you'd answer 'Girly chinny Lenni went down from one punch to the face.'

You don't like Lennox Lewis. Everybody gets that. Move on.

And Lennox never got knocked out by an obese former middleweight. Or Kevin McBride.

His agenda is pretty obvious. I'm not the greatest Lewis fan but I can admit that he stacks pretty darn high in the HW rankings based on his achievements.

Rahman had always been know to have excellent ko power-- even in his days as a prospect. Watch some of his fights some time and you'll see a very large man with stiff jabs and great rights. Problem was just that he was a bit too crude to land flush, fully-leveraged punches on top opponents consistently. His punching power gets sold way short by the "boxrec warriors" here on classic.

koolkevin has it right ^ Rahman was also a bit hot and cold. When he was fit and motivated, he was a rough night's work for the best of them
