true your azz, I discluded them not included, u flop. read next time you reply. vitalis not to, not being a great puncher.
Its understandable that would impress somebody if the Vitali fight was the only Lewis fight they had ever seen. Anecdotal evidence proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that Vitali reacted worse to Lewis uppercuts then anybody else Lewis ever faced. That is not even up for debate. Its a stone cold fact. Smaller guys than Vitali eat those uppercuts like they were nothing and kept coming. One single uppercut from Rid**** Bowe sent Holyfield into the outer limits. Yet Lewis nailed Holy with savage uppercuts - that same he hit Vitali with and Holy didn't even flinch. Vitali was staggering all over the ring. He was wrapped around Lewis to keep himself upright. He couldn't even make it past 6 rounds with the worst Lewis that ever entered the ring as a champion. That was the best opponent he faced. You don't win fantasy match ups against hall of famers based on bad losses.
He couldn't even drop Sam Peter or Arroela who were walking head first straight into his shots. Watch what Bermane Stiverne did to Arroela. Poleaxed. Look what MaCline did to Peter in round two. YoYo'd him before gassing out due to being severely over weight. Robert Hilenius knocked Peter out COLD with one punch If Vitali is a KO artist . Then they must be some of the the heaviest hitters of all time :nut
Fascinating how it was Vitali who couldn't come out after round 9 against Chris Byrd. He couldn't grind him down. Vitali couldn't grind Johnson or Chisora down either. I guess the guy who best Ali just wasn't as good as Kevin Kingpin Johnson.
The trouble picking Kenny is his footwork against this guy. Does he back him up? Does he back him up all night or just for a couple of rounds? That cross armed defense is open for left hooks and this guy threw a ton of them. The other thing is he did starch guys early in his career and set them up for the big shot. He was the rarest of breeds that lost his snap & continued to find a way to win. And Norton threw a ton of wide looping lead right hands from way on the outside. I think that kind of thing is a horrible punch to throw against this guy & gets him beat to the punch by a right hand. And if Kenny gets beat to the punch by this guy, it's all over.
Norton 's Achilles heel was he couldn't fight backing up,Vitali waited for most of his foes to come to him, give Kenny his momentum and allow him to get his jab working and you could be in for a tough night. He could bang a bit himself too. Norton gave Holmes life and death and Holmes p*sses on Vitali imo.
Ever see the Middleton fight? How about the Zanon fight? Everyone loves to point out the flat efforts and 1 guy and point out the other guy's efforts against elite competition only. And Norton lost 3 of the 4 fights against Larry and Muhammad. Unless, of course I am mistaken and he was the guy with his arm raised at the end of the night.
The other walking statue. Norton was excellent in his ability to parry jabs and counter with his own. He did this vs Ali in three fights with great success. He would do so vs Vitali. Vitali would give ground allowing Norton to fight his fight. Nortons counter jab opens up Vitali to his sneaky overhand right. Vitali will take this punch early but not late. Norton wins this one via TKO in 12 rounds.
And Larry and Muhammad are both in my top 5 all time great heavyweights.I would venture to suggest a hell of a lot of heavies would lose to them!
Ike Ibeauchi exposed Vitali's very basic skill set. Take whatever version of him you want. They all the same. I feel flabbergasted that so called boxing experts look at Norton and Vitali and conclude that Vitali was the higher skilled operator of the two. :huh
I read it perfectly. I just felt like baiting you into saying that there were people who KO'd Norton who weren't ATG punchers. Given your response that you don't consider them great punchers, it begs the question of why Iron Chin Norton got KO'd against them. So now that we're on common ground that it didn't take a Foreman or Shavers level puncher to do the trick, what puncher did Norton ever beat that hit harder than Vitali?
Nah, Norton is too chinny. One big shot to the face will suffice Sent from my SM-G925W8 using Tapatalk
