I have seen quite a few fights over time where you have a fighter will choose to fight someone who will most likely not win against but choose to fight anyway because the money was too good to pass up.

So name me some fights where a fighter fought cuz he wanted the huge payday?

Well are we talking JUST for the payday? Because a lot of fights with big names have the underdog wanting to achieve glory too.

Canelo/Khan. Some people will say that Khan wanted to fight for glory and all this kinda stuff but imo, Kahn cashed out which is why he wanted to fight Mayweather or Pacquiao badly cuz he knew if he fought either Mayweather/Pacman or Canelo, he be getting a huge payday. It must have delighted Canelo/Golden Boy to know someone would be willing to bought out to KOed. What better option than Amir Kahn? In a way, it worked out for both Canelo and Kahn, Canelo gets his highlight KO reel and Kahn gets his money/so called title shot. It was the perfect marriage. lol

Like the other poster said, almost everyone vs Mayweather.
Mayweather/Mosley - Mosley was old as **** and wasn't going to win to all. He just wanted the money.

Pretty much every journeyman out there.

You think the guys who have records of 15-22-4 are fighting for the glory?

That might have been one of the clearest examples. Although I would have done the same if I were him. "Sure my knee is fine, no problem whatsoever. Let's make the mon... euh... fight!"

even team cotto knew sergios knee was wrecked everyone knew they just went ahead because sergio needed that big payday

Credit to sergio never making a big deal about it

he had to hide the wrap on his knee by having large pants a blow from a punch would of wobbled sergio

VITLAY when he put on that dismal 'performance' against Lewis. He was clearly there for the payday after being seen most days on the beach with WALDO.

He showed more gusto when the ref called the massacre off than during the fight.

Mind you, it was to be expected as during the build up he was filming his bit part in the movie Top Gun. You know the one where they are playing volleyball hanging out with the boys.
