To be honest I was pretty impressed with Lewis in this fight, for one thing it was probably his most exciting fight and it was at the end of his career. I saw Vitali land that right hand and couldn't believe Lennox didn't go down, he showed tremendous grit in this fight. Lennox did act like a bit of a tool afterwards but that's him all over, he is totally arrogant and won't credit his opponents.
He would have been better off admitting Vitali gave him a very hard fight and he was lucky to win on the cut, but no, he had to say he was in control and had it in the bag, yeah right. But you cant take away he won this fight and was at the end of his career when Vitali was fresh. As a fighter it added to Lennox's legacy, he proved he could deal with the adversity and overcome a tough fighter that late in his career.
At first I resented he retired back then without the rematch but now I totally understand it, it just annoyed me he wouldn't admit he was past it so packed it in, instead he made out he would beat Vitali anyway so what's the point. Great fighter but pompous as hell old Lennox. Could take some notes from Tyson and Holyfield on being humble and showing respect to fellow fighters.

Where are Lewis fans when he ran away from the re-match he promised?

at what point/moment/day did he run away?

you need to be specific, to ask where they were at that time.

I'd overturn the result of Lewis vs. Klitschko to be TD6 for a night of hot nookie with Kate Winslett tbh.

I was watching it thinking vitali is lucky it didn't go another round because he would be wearing a pirate patch for the rest of his life if it did!

TKO6 - it wasn't Lewis best win but how many champions beat the guy who goes on to dominate the division after they retire.

Anyone who thinks Lewis got lucky or that the win wasn't anything but 100% legit just comes off as bitter.

Massive fan and Lewis and vitali too.

It was a close fight, that's what was so great. Lenox won but Vitali took him to the edge of defeat.

Lewis retired as soon as he got a real challenge and did it in a shabby way, ducking the offered and ordered rematch the day before belt stripping. Vitali twice champion emeritus is more how a real champion behaves, especially given he had serious knee and shoulder issues before the Lewis fight and only two weeks notice.
