1. Which would you prefer to see? 2. Which do you think is more likely for this year? 3. Which do you view as more competitive?
I don't see it being likely nor do I find it interesting in any way. Pac had his time, should just stay retired as should Floyd.
I only ask because it seems Freddie Roach is out there saying he wants Canelo vs Pac. So I'm wondering if there's any fire along with the smoke.
Well hopefully they stay away so that we can see GGG-Canelo first then afterwards they can fight if they want.
pac is done. why they are talking about putting him in with the biggest guy of his career, now that he's past prime, seems like just greed to me.
Exactly, is it just me that actually doesn't find Pac even exciting anymore? I honestly think most of his recent fights have been boring as ****, and I can see him being even more boring against Canelo.
Pacquiao should only fight Mayweather and vice versa. Canelo needs to be the first to step up and challenge Golovkin. He will not lose anything fighting the top guy at 160. If he loses to a lesser fighter though....
On the flip side, though, he could possibly lose to a lesser fighter before getting to Golovkin (or the more lucrative possibility of a Pacquiao bout).
Rummy, why do I think that you'd like to see this happen, I think when it comes to GGG, there's a bit of schadenfreude going on with you lol.
That's also very true. Imagine if Canelo loses to a Lemieux, Stevens or some other middleweight. immediately his aura/stock drops. If I were Canelo, I'd take my chances with GGG. If he lost, then that's fine. at least, he could say that he lost to the best but if he lost to Lemieux or someone like that. It would make him look like just another guy which is bad for him. In short, it's better to lose the best than to lose to the rest.
