When was the last time HBO did release PPV numbers? Anyone know? I know they never did for Golovkin's bout with Lemiuex. Floyd-Pac numbers were obviously released in the joint PPV telecast, but I can't remember the last time HBO released numbers officially. Pac's last fight perhaps?

Those were never released either. HBO is copying the Mayweather motto with Showtime. The man was ahead of his time.

So is it a safe assumption that promoters involved with the fighters are apt to increase the reality by 50% or so?

I could be mistaken, but pretty sure the reason HBO doesn't release numbers on these sort of things when they're bad, is because they are legally obligated to provide accurate information. Promoters can just go out there and say whatever they'd like, on the other hand.

What did that Rick Glasser dude say? 332,000 for Golovkin-Canelo? And he said 97,000 for Golovkin-Lemieux?

When was the last time a Cinco de Mayo weekend fight reportedly did this poorly?

Wasn't that one supposedly in the 800,000 ballpark? I think that one was also cited in the link you posted.

He also said 650k for Canelo-Cotto (which from what I recall was contradicted by HBO), seems to regularly undershoot, maybe for a reaction or something.

Keep in mind Rummy that in almost every case the PPV are inflated about 5% give or take. Its a good PR for people people who send out the press releases and statements.

    Don't trust Glaser's numbers.
