    I think Leonard would have goaded him into a rematch and because lots of $$$ would be in the offing, Hagler would have accepted.

    $$$ vs Legacy. If Hagler wins impressively, no reason for a rematch. A close decision win, then rematches SRL and probably loses the decision due to "that's boxing".

    Then the Leonard fans would have been complaining about the result, as opposed to the Hagler fans doing the same thing.

    Sometimes posters show a lot about themselves when they post, and sometimes don't have to say very much at all to do it.

    As discussed on a previous thread when I responded to a similar snide post you made about Hagler, without going into as much detail as I did last time, you are showing your ignorance of and great disrespect of a magnificent fighter and champion as Hagler here.

    Lazy, ill-informed clichéd b*llocks from an ignorant (on this subject) keyboard warrior, who undoubtedly is too young to remember Hagler's reign for himself and also has never likely had the gloves on...ANYBODY who has ever boxed to any degree would have enormous respect for Hagler & what he brought to the table.

    If you care to study Hagler's career in detail, you will realise how wrong you are.

    He may have retired... but he would have come back, maybe a rematch with Leonard, maybe he would have eventually fought Hearns again?

    If he negotiated 15 rounds, he might have won the match.

    Hagler had issues with Leonard's and Duran's speed. Maybe he just didn't't match up as well vs faster fighters?

    There would have been as much controversy over the decision as there was in real life. Hagler may have rematched Leonard in consequence.
