He is a pudding and if he faught me he would be starring at my *****. Why isn't Patel fighting now? They should out Patel in with Selby, Selby would batter him senseless
Whichever ones have been on Boxnation I have seen and he didn't look any good. Then he drew against some random guy. Before you ask, no I wasn't there. But if you've such a determined opinion that he's good, why start a debate just to disagree with literally everyone? In fact, explain to me why he isn't poor. Tell me what he does good so I can try to watch his next fight and see where you are coming from.
Did I start a debate? No i just said he is not as **** as most of the overweight never took a punch in their life idiots say on here. A guy who has never commited himself to the sport, never been running and never dieted has somehow managed to win 7 national titles and went 3-0 as a pro. He has only started to take the sport seriously, after realising that he was not strong enough to make it as a pro. He is working hard in the gym, and I have seen him drop and beat up a super feather/lightweight. He is fast, athletic and can switch effortlessly. Once he corrects a few mistakes he will be a very goof pro. If he was so **** why did andrew selby admit that patel would be a harder fight than Kevin satchell? Also, if he was so poor surely Stuey Hall, Romeo Romaeo,Jason Boothj etc would of all sparked him in sparring?
Ha, sorry I thought you started the thread. Right, so if he's only started to take it seriously now why are you surprised that no one has rated him? Looking good in the gym is one thing, being a good pro is another. I await his next bout but until he actually shows me in a ring that he's at least domestic level then I won't be changing my mind
What were the 7 'national' titles he won as an amateur? This regularly gets bandied about when people are discussing Patel but I'm yet to hear anyone tell me what/when they actually were. If they're Mickey Mouse tournaments from when he was 11 then they're not worth mentioning. If Tibbs or anyone else can clear this up it'd be much appreciated.
I know what the CYPS were - and their categories - I'm just asking if all of these tournaments were for younger/junior fighters. Did he win anything as a senior? I'll admit I've never heard of there being a Golden Gloves tournament in the UK. Obviously I've heard of the American set of tournaments of the same name.
Patel wants to market himself as the next Prince Naseem but got a draw against a bum called Juan. Boy Junior wants to market himself as the next Roy Jones Junior but drew against a 1-14 fighter. Both a domestic level only, and I have seen both and they were both very unimpressive.
When I saw him he looked like pants, and he already has dropped a draw against an opponent that turned up to lose against him
Never watched boy jones jr lol. I cant take a fighter seriously with that name. I have watched 2 of patels fights agaisnt koos and hinostroza and in both he looked like a decent level club fighter but certainly nothing special. Infact against hinostroza I though he lost by a point or two. He MIGHT be an unpolished diamond but nothing I saw in the 2 fights I watched would indicate that. There is too much emphasis placed on fighters amateur careers. Its not the same as tge pro game, some average ams turn into top level pros. Lots of amateur champs do nothing in the pros. Despite the similarities they are two different sports.
