Wilder should sue to get back his training camp cost no doubt this was his most expensive camp yet. Sent from my SM-G925T using Tapatalk
He tested positive for Meldonium. According to Wikipedia Meldonium was developed in the 1970's and has been in use ever since. However, it wasn't added to the WADA banned substance list until January 1st of this year. There are debates on it's use as a performance enhancing drug.
Especially these Russians: James Toney (Boldenone & stanozolol) Shane Mosley (Tetrahydrogestrinone) Roy Jones Jr (Androstenedione) Antonio Tarver (Drostanolone) Lamont Peterson (Synthetic Testosterone) Fernando Vargas (Stanozolol) Andre Berto (Norandrosterone) Sadam Ali (Cathine) Ricardo Mayorga (Furosemide) Evander Holyfield (Elevated testosterone, HGH & saizen) Joan Guzmán (Furosemide) Ali Funeka (Hydrochlorothiazide) Larry Olubamiwo (Erythropoietin / "thirteen banned substances") Mickey Bey
Salido got caught cheating himself so he'd be a hypocrite for not fighting vargas. Wilder has never tested positive he probably won't fight povetkin now and I wouldn't blame him. Sent from my SM-G925T using Tapatalk
Hmm has uncle Al played the Russians at there own game and got an inside man in the Povetkin camp or called in a favour from VADA. He did not even try to win the purse bid after all. Just messing around. Its a shame I was looking forward to this one, I guess Wilder gets to keep his belt a while longer.
It's not just Sharapova. A lot of athletes have been busted for it since it was added to the list. Even fellow boxer Igor Mikhalkin who received a two year ban. Personally I think thats a harsh punishment. The drug has been legal and used for Cardiovascular problem for a long time. On top of that it's not prescription. You can get it at any drug store whenever you want and it takes months for it to cycle out of the body. Very disappointing. without Povektins scalp on his resume it's going to take longer for critics to accept him as the real deal. If Povektin isn't allowed to fight then it's going to be a huge blow on Wilders career.
