Do you know how high the concentration of the banned drug was in Povetkin's sample? If not then you don't know whether the fight happens or not.

Athletes in several sports have avoided suspensions for meldonium positives under new World Anti-Doping Agency guidance issued in April if the concentration of the banned heart drug is low enough to indicate they did not take it after Jan. 1.

I was hoping that was the case. Good to hear. Now Wilder's career won't have to stall any longer that it would have had the fight not happened.

And a lulz. I'm done speaking to a flyweight with inner city school public education. You win, Tyrone.

Athletes were notified on October 1 that effective January 1, meldonium was to be considered a banned substance. That gave three months to get the stuff out of your system. It wasn't just announced on January 1 that the drug was illegal. Povetkin getting popped over eight months after October 1 means that he had that long to get the drug out of his system. I can't imagine that he would come up dirty from a drug he took eight months ago especially considering the half life of meldonium.

Of course, all you need to know is Fat Dan's claims... I would rather wait for the official statement of VADA before I make a judgement.

Of course I win... Do you not see how stupid it is to suggest a fighter take more money and fight a drug cheat just for your entertainment? Povetkin tested positive blame it on him and move on dummy.

Nope. I was saying the exact same thing regarding both Sharapova and Browne. This drug has essentially no known benefit and is highly debated as to what reason it's on the list. If Wilder were caught with this I don't think anyone would care either.

This changes things. Fight might still happen.
