Justice for Povetkin! 0,07 mcg is far behind the max limit of 15 mcg acceptable!

I agree that we should see what the B sample says.

People are defending Povetkin because the substance was not a steroid, only recently banned, and apparently found in trace amounts. It seems innocuous.

If Povetkin is a cheat, then to hell with him.

Under 1 microgram doesn't mean that's the amount in his body. That's the amount in a cup of ****.

And what matters is if he was using it and gained effects from it during training. It's not a magic pill that turns a boxer with Muhammad Ali's speed and George Foreman's power the moment he digests it -- it allows one to train beyond normal capacity and increases blood flow and oxygen intake into the bloodstream for better stamina.

The fact that it's in his test means he took it -- hell, they admit that he took it, although they deny he took it recently.

There's something out there that some Povetkin apologists are pointing to saying that the manufacturer says it "could" stay in the system for "months." It doesn't say it "does" do this, nor does it say "for 36 months" or "for nine months" -- they are claiming he last took it nine months ago, and it stretches the imagination that it would still be in his system that long, at least to me.

AND he also passed three previous tests, then suddenly it shows up, which suggests that he took it after the last negative test.

How much remains in his system could be from trying to use a small amount and trying to flush it out but it didn't completely flush before the next test -- which could have been unannounced.

As noted, it's not a magic pill that works the second it is digested. If he used this PED in training, he has the benefits from it when he steps into the ring.

(And we only have a Russian promoter's word -- a promoter who loses millions if the fight doesn't happen -- on how much was in his specimen. We don't have the actual test results.)

No it doesn't. If it did the amount found would have been higher. What it means is that the concentrations in the blood are so low, it won't show up on every test.

If a bodybuilder cycles on anabolic steroids and pumps his iron, his muscles get big.

At some point, the steroids will have washed out of his system. He will still have the muscles that were built when he was using the steroids.

We know this guy was taking a banned substance that is -- even in minute amounts -- STILL IN HIS BODY. Which means he surely still has the benefits gained from using it.

You're stupid! Why would Wilder fly all the way to Russia and then try to find a way out of the fight, when all he had to do is mess up his visa? Let me guess... you were probably one of the idiots that said Wilder wouldn't even fight Pov and vacate the belt, then when the fight was made in Russia, said he wouldn't go! Well guess what! His ass still has the belt and he is in Russia! Wilder already proved a lot of the haters wrong TWICE! The third time is a charm! I'm predicting a KO in the first minute of the first round! Wilder wins!!! I'm not pulling for Wilder because I'm a big fan or thinks he is the best, I just hate all you Pov fans! Pov is an awesome fighter , I have absolutely nothing against him!

There are rumours that there is a point in contract that in case any fighter get caught with PED, the other side will be still receive money for the fight, rumours say that this point was set by Ryabinskii.
So if this is true, then there is a serious motivation for Wilder to get out of the fight on PED basis and still receive money.

Truth. Even WADA said it is impossible to know how quickly that substance clears the human body but these keyboard experts here act like they know... Rubbish

Potvetkin has VERY few real fans on this board.

Many us like him, think he's a brilliant HW, perhaps the 3rd best of the post Lewis era, BUT, he doesnt so much have fans as does Wilder have haters.

This fight has been being pushed off going on 2 yrs, and in that time, Wilder has had several solid wins, vs less than stellar opposition, thus furthering the HATE for Wilder amongst his haterz.

That said, the drug, for one, was legal for use up until just recently, so whether Potvetkin gained from it's use during his last 4 dominant performances or not, doesn't make him a drug cheat, simply using a LEGAL method of training enhancement.

He has never denied using the metabolite in the past, and gives specifics in interviews as to his use of it, but when it was rumored to become added to the "banned substance list", he stopped using it 3 months prior, just soas to curb any suspicion of current use.

    VADA, just doesn't miss much.

I know of drug that can get into a man's bone marrow and take 18 months to find it's way out of his system. :patsch

I think you are mistaken, according to the ESB chemists it's impossible for traces of a drug to stay in the body for more than a few weeks and I have no reasons to doubt the credentials of someone who took the effort of typing in their email adress, username and password just to create an account.
