Golovkin's chin is better than his power. No happy ending for Canelo.

What the hell are you talking about? Curtis Stevens and David Lemieux hit harder than anybody that canelo has fought, and he dispatched both of them with ease. the advantage in chins automatically goes to golovkin. In terms of counter punching, why don't u watch a golovkin film study since this isn't apparent to you when you watch his fights.. his style is based off of counter punching. And golovkin is clearly the way harder puncher, that's not even a debate. when cotton was asked about a golovkin fight, he said that golovkin brings nothing to the table but he later fought Daniel geale :lol::lol:

Stop flooding the forums with your garbage.

I think GGG destroys Canelo alvarez, he hasn't seen anything like him and will probably get dismanteld inside 8 rounds.

What does it say about GGG and Canelo if GGG beats Canelo more decisively than Floyd Mayweather? Meaning, the fight is as competitive as GGG's last 35 fights.

I think your love for GGG or hate for Canelo hinders your reasoning.

Surely you can't really think of Stevens than much more than a C level borderline B level fighter. How can you even attempt to use him to gauge GGG's ability to take a punch.

As far as Lemieux, what else besides bum rushing and out gunning his C and D level opponents does he offer. Lemieux is as one dimensional as they come. Combined they have a total of 8 losses FFS, and they've lost against who? Other C and B level journeymen with the exception of the Bum Killer.

I think you're better off not using GGGs opponents to guage how he will do aganst Canelo because you lose credibility when you make comments like your second sentence.

The fact is that GGGs abilities have never been tested against an A level fighter, and GGGs best win is Lemieux who was KTFO by a journeyman on the decline, and has been outboxed by a C level fighter.

If you want to gauge GGG and Canelo watch the following fights:

    GGG vs Geale
    Cotto vs Geale
    Cotto vs Canelo

Remember that Daniel Geale has been one of GGGs best wins.

Has GGG seen anything like Canelo? Absoloutely not. Canelo is at least two levels above GGGs resume.

Canelo on the other hand has been in the ring with experienced veterans and legends, with prime fighters, slick level A fighters, level A power punchers, and top notch opposition like Miguel Cotto. The gap in experience level is WIDE.

GGGs best skills are cutting off the ring which one be a factor since Canelo doesn't fight off the back foot, and his power punches which will pose danger to Canelo.

GGG has never been in a fight with a fighter who knows how to use feints, who is a fast and accurate counter puncher, who can take a punch extremely well, who uses head and waist movement to get close to his opponents, and who has a great body attack.

This is imo a close fight with Canelo having the edge in talent and experience and GGG having the edge in power.

You're dreaming. Canelo is leagues above Lemieux who is GGGs best win.

Cosign this to add people bring up guys like Lemiuex or Stevens wasn't Stevens just a sparring partner for Canelo and afterwards cedits Alvarez camp for teaching him a lot and helping him improve.
Idk if people are caught too much in the hype or are just trying to save face in case GGG wins but this is no easy fight for either.

Would be good to see Canelo in against Lemieux beforehand. I think he spanks Lemieux. But, it would be an excellent gauge and build up fight.

i have hard time understanding the bumdog superfans

on one hand theyre telling us ggg and canelo are the same size...that canelo might be even bigger

then they tell us theres no way canelo could go through gggs resume...that he couldnt take a punch from them...even though canelos chin has proven pretty sturdy and most of gggs opponents are c/b- level as far as boxing skills....

actually i understand the bumdog superfans very well...because they always contradict themselves...i should be used to it by now

Yaaaawwwwnnnnn don't you ever find anything else to talk about?

To try and explain this as simply as I can, Golovkin is a fighter growing in popularity and at this stage has a pretty high number of fans on this board. He is also showing that telltale sign of a fighter who is becoming mainstream, namely the development of haters who decide that they are too cool to like a fighter who has gone mainstream. But regardless, he has a lot of fans. And guess what, those fans are each individual people with individual opinions. Those opinions may differ quite substantially on the same issues. In other words, it is nonsense, where one fan expresses a different opinion to another, to try and lump them all together as if they were one individual and make comments like "Lolz GGG fans contradicting themselves again Lolz up the black panthers".

Your obsession with this fighter resembles the poster known as Betty Swollocks and his obsession with Ricky Hatton. It's just weird!!!
