Shock G, it was months and months of Burger Squad this Burger Squad that...Wilder is scared. Wilder fakes an injury-April Fool's and now Wilder is the one who got Povetkin caught and the plan was for Wilder to back out of the fight by Povetkin failing his test using Meldonium lol... Great Master Plan Wilder! :rofl
If he took a fat-soluble supplement and then started burning fat, it could be released into his blood.
This means everything is alright and the fight can go on without giving Wilder an excuse to back out? Anyway, I will state it again: I am just very surprised how timely and convenient this whole issue is just a week before the fight. And, if the quantity found on Povetkin is well under the limit so the fight cannot be called off, I am led to think this is all done with the aim of backing out of the fight riding an orchestrated media uproar against Povetkin. Backing out then would look legit, completely in spite the fact that the fight should happen anyway as per rules.
Bingo. And I don't care about this fight other than watching Wilder-Szpilka for free and idiots seeing Wilder winning comfortably after the distance.
http://www.reuters.com/article/us-sport-doping-meldonium-idUSKCN0WN1FS Here's an article explaining how it can take several months to leave the body and often leaves behind trace amounts. It all depends on the sensitivity of the tests. The trace amounts could've been missed for several tests, depending on the test and the sensitivity of it. My question would be whether this was the case with Povetkin. I personally have no idea and if he was it would be just another in the line that includes some of my personal favorite fighters such as James Toney. It's sad really.
Thanks for the article link. I think the longer careers at high levels of athletes well in their thirties is due to widespread chemical "help". Besides, if the substance Povetkin used was not banned until this year, then he did nothing he could be banned for in assuming it.
trace amount = trace elements amazing how you guys try to find excuses for Povetkin for having trace amounts of a banned drug in his system are the same guys that called Margrito a cheat for having trace elements of calcium and sulphur on that pad when both are ingredients of HUMAN SWEAT!!! BAN MARGARITO FOR SWEATING !!
What? He was caught with a banned substance in his system. The question of technicalities doesn't change the fact he had to have been an active participant in his doping.
Ryabinsky tweeted an hour ago that there's no news yet. He's PAYING the WBC, I think the fight will go on and if Wilder refuses he will get stripped.[/quote] There. Fixed, lol. This content is protected
Answer me this: How can his promoter possibly KNOW that he stopped in September? Was he keeping Povetkin on 24-hour watch for the last nine months? He's saying either (a) what Povetkin told him (which would have no weight, he's probably not going to admit cheating) or (b) what he thinks is convenient to try to get around the test or repair his man's reputation. The 70 nanograms isn't the amount in his entire body. It's how much showed up in a cup of ****. It indicates he has the substance in his body and had it in his body for training -- which means he would have gains from the benefits of the drug. That could also be after he's done whatever he can to flush it from his system and the masking/flushing wasn't 100 percent successful, ESPECIALLY if as reported he was clean for three tests THEN took it and tried to cover it up. So the "it's only a small amount" doesn't wash. Regardless, he's been caught red-handed. Putin may ship him to Siberia.
I was taking a nap. Anyways, I'm glad Deonkey won't be fighting Povetkin anyway I want Nichols to be the one to KTFO him
Rummy, you've had some Hall of Fame posts in my time here (and, yes, a few clunkers) ... but you could retire on this one. :hey:hey:hey
