Them not looking for a banned drug would also be an issue requiring investigation.

I'm incredibly disappointed as I've been waiting for this fight for months, and I think all professional athletes are roided up anyway so I don't think is a big deal, but these are the facts. They want to know why this drug suddenly showed up.

 

The ban was just put into place January 1 so it is doubtful they were looking for it right away. It may have required additional training, equipment, etc.? Sharapova was outed during the Australian Open, which takes place shortly after the first of the year.

 

Not only did he pass the first couple of tests...he failed the latter. He has no grounds to sue anyone because in their contract anyone who was caught using PED's would undergo a stiff penalty and they could sue for reimbursement. #Facts

They should have been testing for it.

Saying they didn't have the equipment or training yet doesn't really matter. Their job is to test for illegal drugs and they failed to do that (if that is what happened, we don't know).

All you're saying is that they're incompetent, which again, would require investigation.

 

WADA didn't just come out Jan 1st and say that they we are banning Meldonium. Meldonium was being monitored because of the misuse of the drug for a year before it was banned. Athletes were told of this 3 months before WADA made the official announcement that Meldonium would be put on the banned substance list. Which is why they said that anyone caught in that 3 month window after Jan 1st could fight their failed test.

 

If anyone believes that he only took trace amounts of Meldonium...then I need to sell you the Brooklyn bridge. He had to have tried to mask it because if it's true that the trace amounts were so minute that it wouldn't help Pov, then why take trace amounts if it wouldn't help you?
