It's not the clean ones we need to worry about. It's the dirty ones with so much money and power they can re-write the rules, and a kangaroo sport like boxing, they are kings you can't touch them. This is why we don't need this from the agencies, we need a unified sanctioning power with full authority.

A fighter should not be held accountable for a substance he or she used if it's not banned at the time they used it. Whether ten years or one day after. Now if they are their team were able to mask a banned substance and that act was uncovered then it's a different story and should be dealt with accordingly. There should be no statue of limitations on a premeditated act of deception.

Its not just the fighters themselves its also the State Commissions that KNOW the fighter has cheated and attempt to cover up for him
It needs an International Commission with overall control. With the actions of certain state commissions no one can convince me that they are not blatantly corrupt too

I was watching a documentary about doping in sports and some tester guy fro the IOC said he randomly pulled a couple of old samples from past Olympics and ran them against current tests out of curiosity.

He said it was pretty obvious what direction all those results were going to go so he just destroyed the data and put the samples back. He said it would be opening a tremendous can of worms.

Exactly. There would be no 24 hour or 14 hour windows...none of that ****. You either get tested up until fight time or bypassed.

We already know the powers that be in certain sports don't want their stars samples retested. Just look at track and field, when it was suggested that Usain Bolt's samples be retested for those two or three years when he was setting the track on fire with fantastic times, and the governing body declined, because if the samples test positive, it would destroy their sport.

Lmao, stop watching **** you have no idea about. It's highly improper and illegal for the IOC to even remotely have access to the samples. They're supposed to be under lock and key with extreme paper trail, so tthat some guy from the IOC can't just randomly touch any samples.

    This. :deal

    Why would you do retests?

I should listen to some random guy on the internet instead of weighing information presented in news articles and documentaries?? Um, no. No thanks Mr. Know it All. I chose to keep learning.

Because the cheaters are always ahead. If they test for all the substances and variants of steroids they've found out about in the last 5 years and use the most up to date tests on older samples then we would find out who was really cheating.

Obviously you don't even know how samples are stored. No one can just walk up randomly and touch them. :patsch

But if they passed then, why would they be guilty now?

Because new tests are developed. Dopers usually have the advantage in their techniques. It takes a few years before the antidopers catch up. It's only when the drug makers work in concert with the antidopers that there is a level playing field like for ex. when Amgen worked with WADA. Amgen makes EPO. Essentially it means you won't get away with it most likely even if you weren't caught today.

I'm almost positive it was the ESPN 30 for 30 documentary where this was discussed. I believe a tester for the IOC over you.

My point is you can't test guys then and if they passed...test them years later and call them guilty. That wouldn't make sense. The testers reps are on the line.
