Golden Boy Wants 2 or 3 Interim Fights Before GGG

I'm good with that as long as it gets made in 2017, I'd like to see Canelo fight at the full 160 limit, and I would like this fight to do well over a million buys.

 

I don't understand why they would do that. Have promoters not learned from the Gamboa- Lopez Mishap?

 

I'd like hear De la Hoya's projection of the PPV buys if the fight were to happen next vs his projection if it happens in 2 or 3 fights.

Personally, I don't think there would be a difference. If promoted correctly the fight does 1.5 million buys in September.

 

Rubbish, the fight is ready to be made, it is not going to get any more heat.

 

I honestly felt like the fight lost a bit of hype after the khan announcement.

 

Nothing confirmed this is just "source" for now. However, a deal like this sounds about right. As long GGG strips CANELO then it's all good. If he lets Canelo fight with the title again then ill start hating on Golovkin.

 

The Casuals need to get to know who GGG is first. Canelo did great by inviting GGG to the ring. Now they need to have GGG fight on some Canelo undercards.

Why does Cancelo need more time? He just fought Cotto and Khan. Why does he need more time for GGG? This is ridiculous. He should be stripped right now. What a disgrace.

 

Both guys are in their prime, the fight is already big, both guys are true middleweights. This fight needs to happen now.

 

The encoded message is that Oscar isn't confident that his fighter can win and thus has reason to milk Canelo for as long as he can before risking a bad defeat that will effectively reduce his marketing potential.

 

If it was up to Oscar, he want 10 more fights before he wants to put Canelo in with GGG.

This is just disgraceful stalling. They need to fight right now, and by right now, I mean in late summer or autumn.

The entire boxing world already knows about this fight. There is no need to let it sit any longer. Golden boy is freaked out by GGG, because they can't control the outcome if the fight doesn't go to a decision.

 

Its all about the money for GGG. He took money twice to step aside, and it seems he will do it thrice now.

I don't blame him one bit, its like that for all prize fighters.

 

This fight doesn't need to happen right now. 3 more fights and it will be time.
