Even if he did agree to step aside, it doesn't change the fact that Canelita and Golden Boy are afraid to take a real risk.
Canelo thinks his Mexican public will blindly follow him and believe all he says...GTFO!

"Me pongo los guantes ahora mismo..." blah blah blah

Fight needs to happen NOW, GGG has been selling out venues. That PPV will make $$$.

LOL... Boxing is a business before anything else. Fighters put their lives on the line for your viewing pleasure.

If both GGG and Canelo feel they can maximize profits by having a year or so more to promote (marinate) the fight, SO BE IT.

That's all you talk to excuse the blatant ducking, is "business sense". That is what is corrupting the sport and hurting it, is the dirty business!

GGG has the power to enforce the rules bt he doesn't do it.

Just put yourself in GGGs shoes and you'll be able to understand why he is choosing to "step-aside", its about the money to him, more so than the title Canelo holds.

  5. Not gonna happen. Your boy is about to dump the WBC because he is cornered. Gonna love watching that beating.

It doesn't need to marinate anymore. Everyone in the boxing world knows about this fight. Everyone who is a boxing fan, a fan of Canelo, a fan of GGG already knows everyone involved and understand the stakes.

Boxing need this fight and so does the fans. We need fighters in their prime fighting each other. "Business" is nothing more than an excuse at this point. I've been doing business for years and this fights doesn't need anymore "business". It needs to happen.

Look IsaL, I'll be honest with you... I don'y know all these politics and rules... just enough to know things like the WBC will not honor a catchweight fight when its for a Mandatory and things like that.
and Yes, they offered GGG some good step aside Money Cotto did and so did Canelo, and I'm pretty sure Martinez did as well.
But enough is enough I have seen enough interviews with GGG and he looks tired of being "bought out" and feels his time is NOW, he's prime and doesn't want father time to catch up to him.

That is what Golden Boy is counting on!

IsaL, I do put myself in his shoes, and in Canelo's...

in GGG shoes Im one frustrated MotherF**ker!
If I were in Canelo's shoes, I would tell Oscar, "YA guey! Basta!" I would want to prove I have the heart and the *****... Win. Lose. Or Draw! A Rematch clause will be in there...

LOL, what a little drama queen. No one thought Canelo would fight Lara, he did. No one thought he would fight Trout who had just embarrassed Cotto, he did. He then fought hard hitting dangerous Angulo, fought Mayweather, fought power puncher Kirkland, and fought Miguel Cotto.

Anyone NOT taking on that level of opposition constantly is far more to blame for making this sport the way it is.

The WBC title is tainted, the organization is ALREADY corrupt, they approved this mess and GGG was a part of it by accepting to not fight for the title and taking money to step aside.

They are hoping it build up like Mayweather and Pac, lol. Whenever it get made it still isn't going to come close to doing those type of numbers. The reason is Mayweather was so hated and so many people wanted to see him lose so badly. Neither Canelo or GGG has that type of effect on people. They don't have the personality, ****iness or anything else to get people to care that much.

The 97K die hards who bought the Golovkin-Lemieux fight, and the 500K Canelo fans are not the biggest demographic of PPV consumers, it is the Casuals that end up buying 1 million plus PPVs.

This fight as big as it is needs to be marketed well to them (casuals).

Oh nice, so now you start slinging names my way, cool I have no need to engage in name calling I'. above that ****... that's your style.

But yes I gave Canelo tons of props for fighting LARA and TROUT! I gave Golden Boy props as well.

Not for fighting Angulo though, that was an easy fight for Canelo who is so technically superior... Kirkland I gave him props and Respect, but still figured Canelo will catch him, being the superior technically sound fighter.

Well all that tainted mess can be corrected if they were to just fight right now!

Calm down, what's an online debate without a little light name calling for emphasis on emotion?

Angulo and Kirkland are levels above most of GGGs opponents.
