This actually makes me sick. Make the fight in September.

This fight won't get any bigger than it already is.

    people think its a mismatch

canelo needs to beat the top mws 1st haha
if he beats geale, monroe and wade. people may give him a chance against ggg

This is just BS! They are waiting for GGG to move up in weight to 168 and then say that GGG is too big for Canelo to fight.

It's an easy way out, isn't it?

This just in. GGG is letting the Cruiser and Heavyweight divisions to 'marinade'.

    :rofl

You 'fans' with your agendas make it hard to defend this sport sometimes.

You dislike Golovkin. Thats fine, good for you. Each to their own.
But to let bs like this sit well is sad for the sport of boxing.

Look what happened with Manny/Floyd. What did we get from that fight after all the hype? Nothing.

2 faded fighters who put a question mark over the sport to the millions of casuals who tuned in. Dare I say it, there is a reason why UFC has become so popular to the general public. The fighters dont hide from others. They talk ****, then fight about it.

Thats the rub though. GGG wants his rightful shot at at a unification bout with the other Champion in his division. GGG WANTS it, the WBC have mandated it, Canelo says he's ready anytime, but even if he didnt want it, GGG does, so make the fight. I've never seen this amount of fight lovers hoping a fight gets delayed when two gunslingers are in each other's:roll: sights:huh

The fight is actually ridiculously easy to make if Golden Boy wants it. They're no promoter rift, no network rift and no financial rift. GGG already accepted that he's going to get a lot less.

If GGG gets a deal for a straight up 160 fight with 70-30 split, he'll take it without even thinking. Hell, throw in 2 rematch clauses and GGG would gladly sign it for the paydays.

The only ones holding up this fight is Canelo's team, who is clearly scared.

I would prefer the fight happened next, and feel it not has more to do with Oscar and money. We'll see what's what when something official comes out.

If this fight does not happen next, then the blame will lay solely at the feet of oscar and Hopkins. :deal:thumbsup

You're looking at all this from irritated fan perspective. I can understand why, but here's the bottom line, the reality of the matter. As much as GGG fans claim and believe its about the titles to Golovkin its not, its about the prize. GGG has been partly responsible of this mess WBC mess. GGG opted to fight his mandatory rather than to use his mandatory status with the WBC to enforce the fight with Cotto.

I believe Oscar when he says he wants to let the fight marinate. He's a businessman now but as a fighter and as a promoter he has always sought out the toughest challenges. Out of all the promoters GBP is the only major promoter that will put the two best against each other consistently even in risky fights, Canelo no exception as we saw with Lara, Mayweather, Trout and evetually GGG. GBP have been part of some of the biggest fights in boxing history and know what it takes to make a huge event.

As much as I want to see the fight, and its the fight I'm most excited about in all of boxing, Im realistic about my expectations and understand that before the sport is the business in PRO boxing.

I would be happier if the fight would be this Sept. but its not going to be, and its not that either fighter or promoter is afraid because neither have given us fans any real reason to doubt them, but its because they need to build the fighters a bit more, especially GGG which they are doing a fine job thus far, and the ring invite by Canelo was good exposure.

The fight will happen, to me it is obvious.

Endless tune ups and weight acclimation fights. Saying Canelo needs to get acclimated to the weight class is a complete joke of a statement.:rofl

Sure, just take those two or three fights in the next six months before you fight GGG. You can fight as often as you want to, but the WBC and Golovkin have a schedule to keep.
