GGG vs CANELO is closer to 50/50 then most think.

There's a 50% chance GG gets counted out on his back and 50% he gets counted out on his knee

It'll be up to GG how much punishment he wants to take

The guy was never knocked down and even hurt in his career.
He will just smile at Canelo punches.

And the fact that Ggg beat Murray and Lemieux. Canelo arguably lost both fights.

Remember that Algieri getting his ass kicked by pacquiao, and a close win against provodnikov didn't save him from getting his ass kicked by spence(a guy who has fought nothing but d-level fighters). Remember that joe Frazier had a better resume than foreman, but foreman beat the sh** out of him and didn't break a sweat. Golovkin is the much more complete fighter than Alvarez and he's fought harder punchers, whether they're c-level or not... You have to be an idiot to believe that canelo has fought harder punchers than Lemieux..

I once felt Canelo might give Golovkin a good fight but after the Khan fight I've realised the chances of this are very slim. Golovkin would easily school and destroy him and outclass him in every department.

Everyone of Golovkins last 10 opponents could beat Amir Khan and Golovkin has beaten them all easily.

    Try to persuade Oscar

By the way, Canelo's resume is created by pocket judges. He should have at least two or even 3 losses. He lost to all elite opponents he faced.

No, Canelo should face Lemieux after losing to GGG. Then they will be in the same position to fight for being #2 MW.

No...actually makes more sense to face him before. It's a better way to build up to that showdown and to gauge what he can do against MWs. Smart move by GBP if they do it this way. What you are suggesting would be balsy but stupid.

If Canelo loses to Lemieux then the whole deal is off the table. I see it as two options:
Canelo vs GGG= Canelo loses but makes a ton of money. Salvagable career.
Canelo vs some other MW= Canelo possibly loses and makes much less money. Doesn't get chance to fight GGG. Harder to salvage career.

Nah...Canelo doesn't need GGG to make a ton of money. He has already made a ton of money. GGG needs Canelo without a doubt. If Canelo loses to Lemieux, then it would prove that he shouldn't be at 160. And it's a lost opportunity for GGG, as well. Depending on how bad he lost, Canelo would go back down to 155 and make a ton of money.
