I don't know but I really hope GGG strips him if they don't fight next. If he doesn't then shame on GGG.

Nobody is hearing much. Im presuming team GGG are getting unanswered calls from Golden pu55ys promotions while Oscar is on the net and sifting through paper work for any possible way out of this without his little money maker losing or losing his belt.

No news is good news. "Public" negotiations are usually nothing but posturing to keep people talking about the fight.

It's been dead silent from both sides. That's a good sign. :nod

They are not leaking anything to the media. I think the fight will be made for September at 160 (158 at mimimum). Canelo will lose his face if they don't fight this year.

That was already been disproved by the same source which started the rumor.

The only concessions I don't want golovkin to give in to is weight and more interim fights. Cuz if he accepts more interim fights in hopes of fighting canelo, that's a mistake but ggg is smart enough to know that. If golden boy says more interim fights to ggg, the only way i'll say yes if I were ggg, is to be given the wbc belt right away. That's what I would negotiate if forced down that road.

I just hope that k2/ggg"s camp doesn't budge on weight especially.

It's do or die for GGG. If he lets Canelo defend the title again then he's letting himself get punked. He's 34 times up get the belt, beat Saunders and unify.

Personally I don't care for this fight. Canelo has never fought a 160 pounder he's never been hit by a real muddlrweight. Let him get acclimated by facing Lemiuex. I see this as a mismatch to be honest. If Canelo can bang with other top 5 160 pounders then he has a chance.

At this time, I give the GGG vs Canelo fight a 5 percent chance of happening in sept 2016

Yes ffs no more "interim" bullshyte.

I can see Canelo fight somebody with a pulse like Lemieux who will KHTFO.

Then GGG will be back to square 1 and it will be his damn fault.

I think Canelo either stops Lemiuex or wins a wide UD. Lemiuex is wide open for counters and Canelo LOVES to shoot off counters. But Lemiuex would be a live dog for sure as he starts working quickly as soon as he gets an opening. Canelo defense and counter punching will win him the fight against Lemiuex.

I mostly agree, but to maximize GGG's split of this 1mil + PPV, the weight concession is a MUST.

If they let this go to purse bid and the WBC order's for instance 30% split to GGG at 160, Canelo will PROMPTLY toss the belt in basket and call on Manny to make some retirement $$$.

If K2 can make this fight without the WBC being involved, it's going to be about weight and split, and rightly so.

Canelo vs Khan was a FARCE and we all knew going in what it was, except we figure Khan was done when the first of 5 hard L hooks landed rather than a sneaky OH R set up by the earlier body attack. Can't honestly say I excepted Khan to withstand any flush power shots upstairs TBPH.
That said, it did nearly 600K buys. A f/n farcical fight doing 600K, while GGG, arguably, the most powerful, skilled, and popular fighter on the globe, fought arguably, the hardest puncher in the MW coming off a career best win dropping NDAM 4 times and earning the IBF MW title. That fight did 1/4 what the farce fight we saw last week do, yet it was a much closer fight due to Lemiuex's solid beard and possibly most devastating L hook in the division.

GGG, my favorite overall fighter next to Wlad, doesn't DESERVE 30% at 160.

IMO, he should make 30% his GOAL, and come as LOW as 157 to realize that GOAL.

30% of $55 mil (est) is $18mil, plus GATE....Sheesh....if Jerry Jones and Oscar work something out....we're talking 90K in attendance, likely SHATTERING Froch v Groves gate revenue record.:shock::shock:
