Mostly agree. However, I believe the 460k PPV number. So Canelo did 3 times more PPV against a chinny welter.

As for the PPV revenue, don't forget that the cable companies take HALF.

I have a feeling they will agree for this fight to take place next year on cinco de Mayo @160 lbs which is great. Canelo would defend his trinket against a ranked mw and GGG would fight another top 10 contender.

I basically agree with Chitown. I'm not really concerned about the weight as long as GGG feels he can still fight at it. 157 sounds very doable for a guy that regularly comes in at 159. My main concern is that it happens this year.

    Said today....

"“I can tell you that any reports … that there are interim fights being discussed is completely false,” Loeffler told The Times on Tuesday. “We have made it clear to Golden Boy and the WBC that there would be no interim fights or extensions to the purse bid. … Canelo got one interim fight. Now he needs to fight Triple G.”

Canelo knows ggg is too big for him and a fight w him now would be career suicide. Hard to say how competitive the fight would be since we have no idea how canelos chin, power and speed will translate at 160.

Excellent news. I think if Loeffler stands firm, Golovkin will soon be the next WBC champion and go on from there.

I can't wait. He's been clowning around long enough. I hope he gets the belt and then immediately starts looking at 168. Legacy baby! Legacy!!!
