Pacquiao has fought much better fighters (in the condition they were in at the time) than Mayweather.

JLC who p4p can't hold a candle to Barrera, Marquez or Morales took Floyd life and death. JLC may not even be on Cotto level.

If Barrera and Morales were natural Lightweights like Floyd and we could equalize their sizes then I'd favor them to beat Mayweather.

 

It is the point. If these guys were at 130 when PBF was there they would have all got that work. PBF is a level above them all that's why he's undefeated a H2H terror and only lost a handful of rounds in his prime. PBF didn't have ATG comp in the divisions he fought in at in his prime. He can't be knocked for that. He fought and beat most of the top fighters from 154-130 most of them with ease. Also the ATG fighters that were maybe one or two weights above him wanted nothing to do with him he was seen as too high risk and was actually ducked by alot of guys for that reason.

 

Imagine a souped up natural Lightweight version of Erik Morales. Give him the same style he had in his natural weight classes and put him up at 135. Massive heart, massive chin and that telephone pole jab and hammer overhand right.

Would be an extremely tough fight for Mayweather.

 

Mayweather didn't have any other ATG in his weight class during his prime. The Featherweight divisions below him had a few. And the Welterweight division above him had a couple. But he waited for Marquez and Pacquiao to get old and move up. And waited for Mosley and DLH to get old and then he moved up.

As for JMM he wanted a rematch against pac but Pac at that time wasn't interested so he called out PBF saying if I can't get Pac in the ring I'll call out the best fighter and PBF accepted. Pac refused to test Roach admitted as much that they were the reason the fight didn't happen earlier because they didn't want testing. Everything I've said in this post is fact.


5:19 of this video confirms he wanted to fight Oscar and Mosley at 147 even though he was at 140 at the time and got no response. He wanted these guys they just didn't want him he was even willing to go up in weight to fight them but yet you blame PBF.
