Don’t you have to actually win a title to be a Champion?

How can someone hold a belt and say your champ without ever earning it in the ring?

With Canelo Vacating the WBC Title, then shouldn't the Title be “Vacant” for a period of time and fought for?

Canelo basically threw himself on the floor and handed it over.

You can't blame Golovkin for Canelo being a coward.

No, he didn’t hand it over. He Vacated It.

When a Title is Vacated, it is “Vacant”, Correct?

Ouch, i can't remember the last time a top teir fighter dropped the belt instead of fighting the mandatory. Not seriously going back to big daddy, right.

Smart move, canelo can turn this in to a positive, there's so many great fights from 155 to 160 he'll make for the next decade. I admittedly, was a little ascared canelos ego wouldn't let him not fight ggg next.

Glad his team has some sense, ggg is a whole different beast boxing has ever seen. The skills with unmatched power, every punch in the book and all can end anyone

This is fine with ggg he wants to be great without ever daring to be great. Him grabbing a belt without ever fighting is business as usual for him. His legacy is a joke.

Yes, total joke.. that's exactly how all possible opponents feel. One runs to 75, the other says no thanks like the rest.

I thought jacobs and quillin really knew they had unfinished business unless peter needs to move up and conquer 168 easily while ggg completes his mw records.

Yup, joke career. Such a joke it's never been seen before

Lewis dropped the WBA and IBF instead of facing Ruiz and Byrd, respectively.

What's wrong with you dude? You sound like you're personally hurt by this. If he won the WBA&WBC titles without ever fighting, the former WBA&WBC champs are the ones to blame.

When are they gonna add the loss to Canelos resume? The way I see it is Canelo quit on his stool before he even stepped into the ring. GGG now 36-0

Ward is fighting the more proven guy in kovalev. You actually think ward who's a stylistic nightmare for ggg moved up to avoid him? Lol! Ggg and his fans hide in the bathroom anytime you mention wards name.

The WBC Title should be vacant for a period of time, should it not?

This is boxing. In boxing you have to WIN titles in the ring? Correct?

If GGG is WBC Champ now, without winning it in the ring, then what’s stopping me from walking around town with a cardboard box over my shoulder with WBC written in black marker claiming I am the official WBC MW Champ?

This would go against everything we know about boxing.

GGG should have to FIGHT FOR the WBC title. How can you BECOME Unified MW Champ without fighting for it? Makes no sense. If this is in fact the case, then it’s the biggest Joke in boxing history.

GGG a Unified Champ without having to actually Unify??

    :rofl

Really? So you are giving Ward credit for taking about doing something...not something he has done yet?

WHEN he actually gets in the ring with Kovalev he gets credit for it... Not talking about it...

And I don't want to hear about the papers/contracts are signed...big deal. Hmmm..didn't Ward spend 3 years in court to get out of a contract.
