Canelo Says He Still Wants To Fight GGG

there were about 20 or so lil g fan, for months, saying

"tell canelo to drop the belt first then they can negotiate a fight at a cw"

so canelo drops the belt and says he still wants the fight....but im willing to bet lil g wont like the terms and will walk.....and they'll claim the terms were ridiculous and lil g was righ to walk even though they knew the terms wouldn't be favorable for lil g anyway....

You were always saying Canelo is the A side and the belt is meaningless and how Golovkin shall accept the catchweight. Apart from you and a few other Ward/Floyd fanatics like Pimp C no one really entertained the idea of Golovkin dropping in weight.

 

I said lil g should agree to a cw title fight and take the belt of canelo in the ring(since the belt is apparently important to lil g...to mean it doenst mean anything)...it would be in lil gs best interest....that's what I said.....

He wants to negotiate the fight on his terms with a better split because he's the draw. He's not going to be dictated to by the B-side and let him have the upper hand. Why should he? He's the one taking the risk here not GGG, who BTW has never taken a risk his entire career. Canelo has never fought a real MW. So it will be on his terms or no fight.

1. Wait until Golovkin gets old, then fight him
2. Wait until Golovkin moves up to 168 to avoid fighting him altogether. At this point, Alvarez *magically* becomes "comfortable" fighting at 160.


Canelo wants to fight Golovkin like Oscar wants to give up his coke habit.

 

So you assume GGG will take a less satisfactory deal after acquiring the belt and Canelo becomes completely irrelevant in his division?

What "upper hand" are you talking about?

The purse bid rules give the champ the lion's share of the split and the fight is fought at the division weight limit.

Seems pretty fair. Maybe GGG didnt want to get drained and give up a ridiculous 90/10 split
