Just like Rid**** Bowe said he wants to fight Lennox Lewis .. at his "own terms" .. after he trashed the WBC belt in the garbage bin lol
Canelo was not willing to give his upperhand on this fight when he's taking all the risk. A non mando fight he can more easily dictate terms and get his fair share of the purse. He wasn't going for a 55/45 split when he's taking all the risks when he could be getting 70/30 it's common sense. Canelo is A side and knows his value. He got dictated to and got the short end of the stick against PBF and Cotto he's not willing to do it again and I don't blame him. That's all this really is, Canelo feels he's being disrespected by a guy who has never paid any dues and not a big draw.:deal
Hey, I get the business angle from Canelo, it just looks real bad in public at the moment. If I were GBP, I'd be begging Canelo not to take the fight as is (i.e. 160lb) next. Let it marinate. But I'd also have a hard time sleeping at night, feeling that I was making my boxer look like a coward.
I'm sure this bothers Canelo but not enough that he would sell his soul again and not be able to call the shots when he's taking all the risks and he's A-side. He said months ago he would never give up an advantage to his opponent again and he meant it. I understand that so this doesn't bother me like it does some others.
By upper hand do you mean drain down to 155? And as far as the split...Canelo didn't deserve more than Cotto or PBF. He got the end of the stick he deserved. The only number I have seen floated by Oscar was 90/10. I don't know what number was actually on the table. Maybe 60/40 or 70/30 is fair. Either way they both will make quite a bit of money. How do you think he is being disrespected? By asking that the MW title be defended at the MW limit for the mandatory split...which Canelo would receive the lion's share??? Wow..thats super disrespectful
WBC clearly states the challenger (whether interim or not) takes 30%. 55/45 is NOT a thing. Golovkin would get 30% out of this. And here we still have people who think Golovkin will accept a less satisfactory offer after acquiring the only belt Canelo has - effectively making Canelo irrelevant at 160. A few pages later some fool will again go "Canelo wouldn't accept 55/45!!!". It's an endless cycle.
Did anybody read anything that came out about this besides that the title is being vacated? according to GGG's promoter the deadline didn't give them enough time to figure out location, purse split, and other promo issues, weight is not an problem and both are still trying to make the fight next neither Loffer or Hoya wanted a purse bid.
He was willing to go to 154 for PBF but not 155 for Canelo? Why not? He should at 34 be ready to prove himself against an elite fighter get the big PPV fight and payday he should have jumped at that offer. Canelo had to do it with PBF and Cotto why can't GGG? Does he think he's better than everyone else? Instead he acts as if he doesn't have to take any risks or pay dues. A 70/30 split would have been more than fair. 90/10 split is a joke lets be serious for a minute they didn't offer that.
I don't understand how the "deadline" thing can even be an issue..... Golovkin has been Alvarez's mandatory for how long? I mean, how many promoters does it take to screw in a light bulb?
I don't have a youtube channel alt. I see you felt like coming out with this alt today you multiple personalities disorder nutcase. You should be committed you and your 100 alts.
If your the middle weight champion, fight at the 160 pound limit. Canelo red hair is giving the fans brown.
The WBC MW title hadnt been defended at 160 before Canelo won the title. (Cotto - Martinez, Cotto - Geale) And to this Day Canelo was never the one who demanded a catchweight. (Cotto and Khan needed the 155 catchweight to make the fight, not Canelo ; Khan said he wouldnt have fought Canelo at 160) So here you are criticizing Canelo for something he never demanded himself, and something that was occurring in WBC MW Title Fights before Canelo even won the title.
