The only joke is Canelo. If Golovkin did this he'd be slaughtered and rightly so. How you are even trying to defend it is beyond me, you are not a true boxing fan in my opinion, you are what I call a WWE Boxing Fan. All the talk, drama and BS, "a-side" "b-side", justifying catchweights, justifying ducking, you are also basically justifying Canelo knocking out a glass jawed welterweight and avoid a man his own size. Remember what Canelo said after his last two fights? No mentions of that by you but you have constantly dug out Golovkin for apparently saying he'd fight anybody from 154-168. What's the difference? You've listened to Mayweather, Hopkins and Oscar far too much, you have been brainwashed in to this ridiculous thinking.
Golden Boy must be aware of this. They have brought all the attention of a Canelo/GGG fight on themselves recently too. There needs to be a date for this fight set, and set soon. Either way, their cash cow is taking a big hit.
I haven't been brainwashed by anything great fighters take risks and pay dues in this sport that's the way it works.:deal Cotto, Hopkins, PBF, Canelo, Pac, Hatton all paid dues and took risks. GGG for whatever reason doesn't have to and people like you're perfectly fine with it. I'm not and Canelo isn't either. So that's all that matters to me.
In my opinion and I'm being honest I believe you have been brainwashed and you are not a true boxing fan. No true boxing fan can justify a blatant duck, it goes against everything boxing should be about. On a basic level it should disgust any true boxing fan, regardless of who it is.
bro! canelo will get knocked the fuq out by golovkin if they fight, its not wishful thinking its the inevtible!!!!
BS Pacquiao took a risk and fought the best 122 pounder in the world at 40 to 1 underdog odds at 122 pounds. Then he fought Barrera at 126 at 4 to 1 underdog odds. But Barrera was no coward and gave him the fight at 126. Real fighters fight the best.
I could have gone back further but I didn't need to. I made my point. Boxing has always been about A-side and the B-side it didn't start in this era.
I agree with this. I don't believe Canelo is afraid, I think he just wants the fight on his terms. He has a lot of pride, he's young, he has a big ego.
I don't think he's defending Canelo, he's just stating what he thinks Canelo's reasoning behind this decision is. I disagree with Canelo's decision but I understand why he did it.
You couldn't be more wrong I'm a huge boxing fan. Funny that many of you same people saying I'm not a real boxing made every excuse in the book when people asked why GGG can't GGG fight Ward at 168, when he was willing to face Froch and Chavez Jr there. After all it was a great fight for the sport and for all real boxing fans and an even better legacy fight than Canelo.:deal Funny how that works.:yep:hi:
What wasn't on his terms? The money? Golovkin would have got a mandatory % already agreed under WBC rules. The weight? If he don't want to fight at 160 then move back down a single lb to 154 and stop pretending to be a middleweight world champion knocking out glass jawed welterweights. This is about Canelo not wanting the fight, there really isn't much to discuss, the WBC have said any mandatory defence would have to be at 160 if both sides fail to agree on a weight. Canelo has ducked, he is a coward and deserves all the abuse he gets after beating up a welterweight, mouthing off in post fight interviews and then dropping him belt so he don't get his backside handed to him.
