Good post, although I rate Takam more highly. Any clear win for Parker is a good one.

In my opinion, although Parker has good power, he's not the hardest puncher in the division.

As a fellow countryman Ill support Parker and wish him all the best, but I can't see this turning out well for him. Takam is durable and been in with some big, skillful hitters. Parker has looked unorganised boxing backwards and the occasion may also get to him. A lot of pressure on the kid. If he knocks Takam out I'll be surprised and just can't see hum evading Takams assaults for the 12 rounds. If Takam has gotten old overnight then maybe Parker will come away with a s****py decision. That's a big if though.Takam looks sharp, he's switched on and knows the games being played around the gym by the Parker camp. Wiley veteran who very well is in his prime.....very nervous for Parker. ...

I'm also a NZer and very nervous for Parker - hope he steps up and turns out to be the real deal.

+1 nervous kiwi. I have been thinking of Takam as one of the least favourite options for him to end up fighting for the last couple years ... though seeing as its happening I am very nervous but also very excited as a fighter with Parker's style winning against Takam is likely to be a great show and could be a fight of the year as well as REALLY put him on the map.

A lot of what ifs to answer on Saturday night though

I agree. I'm picking a mid round KO, the likes of the Costa Jnr right hand KO that Parker handed out.

Fight is sponsored by Burger King. I hope that's not a portend to a bad future.

Wow really? I've agreed with a lot of stuff you've said in the past, and would love this outcome but come on - Costa Jr doesn't have a great defence, great chin and didn't throw leather the way Takam does.

It's entirely possible something like this will end the fight but if it does, I'm guessing it will be in deeper rounds when Parker has made Takam's body ache and he's less able to apply the pressure and make his head continuously hard to get at - then we'll see Parker starting to throw serious head bombs

I think Naki has good reason for his prediction.

I just hope Parker lets his hands go and doesn't get too conservative.

If Parker is as good as I think he is, this will be easy work.

This won't be easy work lol

Late rounds ko or full distance. Takam is good you'll see, if Parker wins he's proven me something he can go top 10

Yep - but Takam likes to come forward.

I think Parker likes that. He is used to guys running from him all night.

    Early KO is possible.

Let me add though - my prediction is actually for a mid-rounds KO win by Parker.

Takam is indeed a class act and a tough fighter. But not tough enough.
