Well for starters they gave him a chance to even the score with doran. I can't help suspect doran was pressured into it. Frozen out of other fights until he cracked and agreed to fight Luke again sorta thing..... Dorians career hasn't progressed very much at all since prizefighter. Don't get me wrong, I too would like to see keeler-doran 3......just not for a while. Luke needs to improve a lot of things first, as this really would be a crunch fight for him. 0-3 to Doran and its pretty much all over for Luke as a serious prospect.
His career hasn't progressed cause he failed to make weight for a British title eliminator by a mile. He had things to address and by all accounts he has. U can't read to much into prizefighter results it's a 3 round shoot out that's why they had a rematch. Also it was a very close fight 29-28 all cards.
I really enjoyed the 2nd fight but I agree with the other poster, it was just a wild shoot out. Both were reckless, with no defence and swinging punches everywhere. Doran did brilliantly to recover from the knockdown and when he looked to be going down again. Not sure Doran will cause Eubank any trouble. Done in a couple of rounds.
This fight does not happen if CEJ gets a shot at GGG Its a dull fight anyway. It's way below CEJ's level
I'm not saying doran boxed defensively, but Doran never forgot about maintaining some basic defence, whereas keeler did. Keeler just walked forward with no guard AND no head movement at all. Now THAT is what I call reckless, Doran remembered some basic defence. For me that was the difference.
