Parker may be 18-1 after Saturday (although I doubt it), but Carlos Takam isn't the real deal.

His most impressive wins come over guys who were top title challengers in the 90s.

I lose objectivity when it comes to guys I don't like. Frivolously picking who will win on a Boxing forum.....I go with Martin and Breazeale. Forced at gunpoint to put money on winner.....AJ both times.:D I have a feeling the same applies to TSoprano.

For the record I never officially picked Wach to beat Povetkin.:deal

i post yet again that takam is a solid 10 to 15 ranked fighter / but lacks basic fundamentals to be a champ

parker even in his learning stage has better tools and abilty IMO

    takam pro side
    physically strong/in shape/stamina/punch output/variety in the pocket /nice uppercut/head movement/experience/chin/

    cons
not an outside fighter/average handspeed/average footspeed /easy to hit despite head movement /not much power in either hand/

without the power to stop parker / then parkers quicker/harder/ feet and hands are going to be to much for takam.

    parker late or wide points.

I have watched Takam fights and there is a consistent pattern to Takam. He doesn't get to use his chin-in shoulder roll to deflect power rights usually when his opponents are using the double jab then the right. Takam doesn't like going backwards, the double jab forces him to stand taller and flat footed and open up his chin to the right.

Parker by devastating ko. Right hand cross to Takams chin. Good night.

    CST - you are right.

It actually could end very early if Parker has the gumption to jump on Takam in the first 2 rounds. In a total WAR I give this to Parker every time.

Honestly there are a lot of dynamics with both guys which will answer a heap of questions which haven't been answered about either of them, it could be argued that BOTH guys styles play into the hands of the other's in different ways. Really it has the making for a really exciting to watch fight. Can't wait till tomorrow!

I honestly think it's hard to call it anything much different to a 50:50.

PS. The only prediction I've had wrong was Fury vs Klitschko - and I only leaned towards Klitschko because it's more fun to take the risk and it seemed like the safe bet.

Looking forward to Takam impressing some, even should it be in defeat.

Takam has already impressed me, for one

You only have to watch Takam - Povetkin to see his class.

Just went with Takam in the prediction thread.

Takam knows what its like to be in with the highest level. Big difference between the Takams of this world and the shot Kali Meehans

Takam is 100% legit... Will show us what Parker is made of, but Parker looks like a special talent... Think Takam will trouble him in spots but Parker will show his class and either stop Takam late or win a comfortable decision.
