    Didn't he just dump the belt? Emeritus belts were for long time injured beltholders that might or might not come back as far as I know.

    Maybe they have a special rule for Mexicans without cojones.

    I was wondering, is it just because of injury? I remember Vitali was champion emeritus. And I guess Lennox too?

    It would be sick if GGG moves to another weight or retires and Cancelo uses his emeritus right to get a mandatory shot at the then WBC belt holder.
