I would love for Golovkin to fight Lara if only to shut certain cretins up from this forum.

But to be honest whilst Lara is a good fighter, I cannot see a guy who went life and death with Angulo and got a gift against Molina beating Golovkin.

I think Lara should get in line. And not try to jump ahead of others whom have consistently made a name for themselves at 160.
GGG has a lot of options here and if he chooses one, he's going to be accused of ducking someone else.
-If he picks Lara, Canelo fans will cry foul (or "fowl" lol)
-If he Picks Canelo, then Danny Jacobs fans may accuse him of Ducking
-If he fights Saunders, then Eubank jr. fans may cause a ruckus.

Lara should focus on his fight this weekend, & then after that he has plenty of competition and unfinished business at 154 with the Charlo brothers and Andrade. If he finishes that, and if Golovkin takes care of the challengers that have fought and worked their way up in 160, then maybe the two can meet in a superfight and it would be a lot more lucrative to both of them.

Lara might be the most overhyped boxer on this board. Not that he is bad or anything but he is a clear cut step below world class. Many of his fights which a world class talent would win clearly end up being razor thin. He has nice defensive skill but lacks offensive output which prevents him from winning many of his fights clearly.

If for whatever reason the fight gets made, Lara will suffer an absolutely onesided beatdown as he doesn't have the offensive power to stop Golovkin from doing his thing and he is physically smaller on top of that. He will then be called a bum and people will call out Golovkin on beating up junior middles. In the next sentence they will applaud Alvarez for dragging past prime welters up to middleweight.

    Golovkin has clear priorities now:

    1. BJS to get the remaining belt
    2. Jacobs (WBA mandatory)

Lara and Eubank Jr would be next in line. The difference is that Eubank told his promoter to make the GGG fight, while Lara just tweets for publicity and doesn't really want to fight GGG.

Don't play into their game. They only hold on to Lara's name because it makes no sense for GGG to bypass other top 160 fighters to fight Lara. That way when GGG doesn't fight him they have some form of ammunition to berate GGG. In reality it only matters if Lara actually makes an account of himself at 160.

    Very true.

Lara's management should approach K2 if they are really serious.

A fighter who gave Canelo problems is a fighter that GGG needs to fight in order for him to establish that he's the goods and hasn't been feasting on middleweight tomato cans.

Canelo-Golovkin is a big fight right now, but what people dont understand is that GBP wants to make it a true Superfight and for Golovkins lack of name opposition, its nowhere close to being that right now.

Lara is one of those fighters none of the top cogs want to fight.
Defensive boxer types are avoided. Lara is the Winky Wright of his day.

LOL at all the GGG fans coming up with excuses as to why GGG should not take this fight.

Beat the man who some say beat Canelo and that's when GGG can demand a Canelo fight and say he's running scared for not fighting him.
Instead we're seeing GGG avoiding such fights.

Lara is doing the right thing by calling out ggg. Lara would expose weaknesses in his game so they don't want that work. The option is there for ggg if all those other fights fall through and it's a good chance they will to be honest. No excuse in fighting another bum.

Who is Canelo ? One of many cowards hiding from GGG punishment.

Personally I would like to see how GGG does against Lara and his slick boxing style. But you know if GGG gets the win or knock out, it will be discredited with people saying GGG fought a smaller fighter. Most of those being Canelitas who will only excuse Alvarez when fighting smaller guys.

Saunders, Eubanks, Jacobs, and Toreano Johnson are fights he should go for. I feel Zurdo Ramirez, who called out GGG, is not ready for a fight like that.

I like Lara and would like to see how he matches up with GGG, to see if he can trouble him the way he did against Canelo. But only as a last resort, onlu if he really can not take on the guys I just mentioned.

No he's not. Canelo beat him and has more good wins and Jacobs and Saunders have beaten world class middleweights, Lara hasn't. He is a good B+ fighter, not done anything to consider him A-level.

There are a number of Golovkin haters who are hyping him up to be some kind of second coming of Pernell Whitaker because deep down they known he isn't serious about wanting to fight GGG. If he was then he'd be at 160 getting noticed now rather than idly trying to drum up a few more twitter followers.
