With the WBC belt off the table, Golovkin should accept 155lbs.

GGG can now take a dump on Canelo, seeing as he now has no belt and leverage to call the shots

Well if that's the case then GGG should put Canelo in the spot.

As of now all we know is that Canelo dumped that ridiculous title, and has stated that he still wants to fight GGG and continue negotiations.

You do not need belts when you're as big as they are.

Do you think corrupt titles would of hindered Canelo-Cotto sales? Nope.

    exactly

lil g keeps chasing paper trinkets when hes already recognized by pretty much everyone as the best mw...i mean...if he wants to prove it by beating saunders and jacobs...then fine....but if he has trouble securing those fights he should move on and stop chasing paper belts....and chase real paper.....the problem is his name doesnt carry enough weight to just chase real paper

GG doesn't need to weaken himself to 155 now that he has what he wanted, Canelo is nowhere near the draw May or Pac or even Cotto and doesn't have the power to demand GG to go down to a ridiculous CW, he can continue to drag up LWW's and WW's to 155 for all I care

That's probably what frustruates the GGGstans the most.

Their idol is already recognized as the MW champion, has been for a long time now and yet has a extremely poor resume compared to the likes of Canelo and Ward, can't sell PPVs, can't make big money, and is unwilling to compromise to prove his greatness.

If I was a GGG fanatic I'd probably be frustruated considering that other fighters I've followed have done everything to crete a Legacy worth talking about, for example, like Hopkins moving down for a fight with DLH, and moving up for a fight against Tarver. :deal

He's in that ball park. He nearly reached 1 million against Cotto, and did more PPV sales than Mayweather and Pacquiao in their last fights against Khan.

If GGG doesn't want to fight at 155 that is his choice to make, but he can counter offer 157, or 158.

GGG weighs in at 159 FFS. :patsch

Hopkins 160 reign was against just as poor quality of opponents as Golovkin's.

Except that he has Trinidad and De La Hoya, and if you felt he beat Taylor like most of us did. He also has big wins over Winky Wright, Kelly Pavlik and Jean Pascal and avenged his defeat against RJJ, and who could forget him coming in as the underdog to dismantle Tarver in beautiful fashion. :deal

He has a long ways to go before he reaches the age where Hopkins actually made his legacy too.

these dummies keep talking about "hopkins mw reign just as weak as gggs"

WHEN I SAY GGG WILL NEVER BE HELD IN THE SAME REGARD AS HOPKINS...i mean overall! as an atg...im not talking about MW! you keep using b hops name and trying to attach it to ggg.....when ggg is done hell never be close to being held in the same breath of hopkins...because ggg will never achieve what hopkins did and will never fight the same caliber of opponents hopkins did at 168 and 175

i dont know how many times i make that point and some idiotic lil g fanboy says "well hopkins mw resume is just as weak as gggs"
