With the WBC belt off the table, Golovkin should accept 155lbs.

:good. Canelo didn't lose any leverage as he sells more than GG. Canelo can still fight a couple of guys...but he has lost something far more than just his title. He lost respect in a sport where all you can/should do is gain respect. He must fight GG.

    Really? :patsch

So Leonard shouldn't get any credit for beating Duran? Whitaker should not get credit for beating Chavez? Hagler shouldn't get any credit for beating Hearns? GTFO! :patsch

Do I have to explain?? :patsch

Trinidad was the man at 154 and then moved up and completely destroyed Titlist William Joppy. Hopkins was the udnerdog I believe, and even if he wasn't Trinidad was already a MW and had the name on his resume. Great win for Hopkins.

Oscar De La Hoya had just fought to a draw (imo) with Felix Sturm, had previously dominated a roided to his gills Mosley and was a P4P fighter when he was KO by Hopkins in the 9th with the fight being 4-4 going into the 9th. Nice win for Hopkins.

As for Wright and Pavlik, they were not above their best weight, but they were still elite and top fighters when Hopkins dismantled them.

Antonio Tarver was the man at Lt. HW and Hopkins MOVED UP
daring to be great, and despite being the underdog destroyed him.

And who the F#$^% is slating GGG for fighting smaller men? You making shid up now?

I'm pointing out the hypocrisy in the Golovstans who SLATE fighters like Hopkins and Canelo for fighting very few guys moving up while GGG himself is willing to do the same yet is given a pass by the GGGstans.

    You guys are funny :yep

In boxing you're as good as your last fight. Once Canelo fights again, all this unecessary "big drama" show will be forgotten... much like most will forget GGGs resume if he doesn't get any names or a career defining fight on his resume. :deal

All GGG has to do is wait and Oscar will deliver Canelo into his hands. Canelo is rocking in the same boat as GGG. The difference is GGG can't get a fight at middleweight and Canelo can't get another welter. Canelo is under more pressure because his chance of losing more than once is very real. At middleweight or light middleweight and if he loses, his bargaining power goes down. He will be forced to take that ass whooping from GGG while he is still the A side and can demand a larger share of the purse.

You're dreaming. The boxing audience always tunes in to watch the most popular fighter in the sport, always.

Even if they hate the man they will tune in... You know this.

You think fight fans will not watch the most popular boxing figure fight on 5 de Mayo or Sept. 16th because what? He dumped a corrupt belt to buy more time for negotiations? You dreaming.

Exciting fighters like Pacquiao, Duran, ODLH, and Canelo can lose fights and still keep their fan base and continue to draw mega crowds.

I can guarantee you IsaL that Canelo will be booed after his next post fight interview if he wins and the opponent isn't GG.

I see your point though, but the Charlo brothers, and other jmw's aren't going to be big money fights for Canelo. Canelo can use his A side to make money, but respect in this sport is something earned.

GG will continue to maybe be missing that name, but he's still fighting and if he were to beat a Quillin, Lee, Jacobs, Eubank Jr, or a good smw...then he won't care about the A side of Canelo...while Canelo will be judged in the end as the guy who ducked GG.

    I doubt that honestly.

No one is going to pay big $$$ bucks to watch Canelo fight live to simply boo him after the fight is over.

Canelo has NOT ducked GGG, and time will assure those in doubt of that. Once negotiations are over I'm sure GBP will come out saying they offered GGG everything and only asked for the largest split and possibly at CW between 157-158.

Canelo is more proven, has been willing to fight anyone, while GGG has made it difficult for himself to make the big fights happen.

**** off with that 155 bs. I don't want to see weakened GGG, I want two boxers in their prime. Besides, Canelo can't make 155 anyway

Canelo ditching that belt tells you a lot about him. He punked out. I'd be amazed if this fight happens.

Canelo don't fit in that grouping. Nothing exciting about knocking out welters. The numbers for his fight with Khan were not that great and if his peps lose faith in him ( they are already disappointed with the GGG decision) The writing is on the wall. He needs to get with GGG or GGG will be calling the shots.

No, he shouldn't. Canelo already has an advantage of pocket judges. Golovkin needs to stop him to win, so no weight advantages to the gingerhead pu$$y.

    :good

 There are quite a few idiots here that are in DENIAL, still hyping Canelo and ignoring the factual truth that Canelo & O$CAR made a BONE-HEADED decision.

:hey The future of Canelo's boxing career is a DOWNHILL SPIRAL, there's no way to fix "STUPID".
