Apparently Cherry Garcia turned the fight down coz he knew he would get wrecked:lol:

Garcia barley makes 1 mill a fight Eddie hearn probably offered him 4 mill plus to fight brook in England and he turned it down

    Vargas took the fight:yep

They offered him British Pounds... Garcia didn't want any of that weird looking paper :bart

Seriously, Garcia is not going to take hard fights in which he can't be sure of getting the decision before the fight starts

It's probably a more Angel Garcia thing than Danny Garcia. They have a ODLH/Canelo thing going on. Angel doesn't want dangerous fights. He manages Danny's career exactly like how ODLH manages Canelo's. Easy, marketable fights with past it names. No risk, decent money.

But in essence, this is another WBC mess up. DSG shouldn't have a belt right now. They gave DSG a title shot for beating Malignaggi (lol), and they put him in with Guerrero to make sure he wins it. That's pure corruption. Like I've always said, WBC should cease to exist for the sake of boxing.

This is why I think some people really do need to take into consideration when talking about brook fights.

He wants to fight these top guys but more due to the fighters teams, they don't want to make the fight.

Garcia got offered huge money and still turned it down.

Kell will get stick on here once the Vargas fight is announced. It's not his fault that the only other top 147 guy free for a fight in the summer wont fight him.

Eddie Hearn is always offering fighters 'money they have never seen'

Garcia, Khan, Rois, 'every top welterweight'

    and non have been interested.

You have to question whether its true or just a guy selling his fighter

same has happened for his other fighters at different weights - never seems to get his fighters in with world superstars
    just mandatories and domestic clashes

Kell Brook and Thurman are gonna have a hard time getting big money fights, they're both too dynamic fighters to be a worthwhile risk. Both are big hitters, handspeed, footspeed, etc....

Hearn seems to have phenomenally bad luck when it comes to Brook, which is weird seeing that Eddie comes across as a very talented promoter.

The offer was probably as bad as Brook's recent choice of opponents. Surely Garcia has never seen an offer that bad.

We all know Khan was offered huge money. He admitted it himself.

Rios would have earned more from fighting Brook over Bradley. Brandon was looking for any excuse to pull out of negotiations. Kept moaning about the British boxing board banning his gloves, was then offered the Bradley fight so he took that.

I don't think hearn is lying about Garcia. Danny and his team would never come here to fight kell.

Garcia could only earn that pay day with a fight in the UK though. Not possible that hearn can pay him that much for a fight in the States on a PBC show.

This is beginning to feel like Calzaghe all over again. Everybody turning him down for fights in the UK or offering a joke of a contract to fight in America then by the latter stages of his career everybody will be saying he ducked everybody. (not that im saying he is on the same level as Super Joe) just the scenario is beginning to feel the same.

The reason the Brook-Khan did not happen was because Eddie 'guaranteed' Khan £10,000,000 ($16,000,000) and then was not able to deliver on that (potentially) without either digging into his own pocket or with it coming out of Brook's side. So then Brook started flapping his mouth by calling Khan scared and Eddie having no contingency so Khan's side walked away and said come back when you can deliver on your guarantee of £10m.

Amir's friend, Mohammed Pandor (who is also Paul Smith's friend too) told me this.

Eddie makes these promises and then fails to deliver on them. He has to understand that YES he was the promotor for Froch-Groves II but that fight sold itself.

He has not been able to replicate that since. Joshua himself is about 2 years away from the big time potentially but will have VISA issues travelling to America due to his record and to get any contender to fight here Eddie will have to give guaranteed low to mid 7 figure sums which he seems reluctant to do. Only cabbies and stiffs jump up at the chance of £50,000 but real contenders will refuse.
