LOL Haye tried not to KO Gjergjaj after early knockdown in round 1. Hurt him with every punch, knocked down with a jab. Got his check. Nice job :good

He earned himself a Bugatti Veyron for 5 minutes of work against some European stiff.

Looking forward to his Next fight?

A 45 year old who is as mad as a box of frogs, Briggs wasn't that good in his prime.

yep, Haye just gained a couple of the business sense loving fans here on this board to offset the loss of real boxing fans.

The rumors were he was broke and recently went through a bad brake up, Hes also 35, I say fair play to him making a quick buck and getting some financial stability back in his life taking some easy fights before he puts it all on the line. The last thing he wants to do is go in there with somebody mildly risky while hes still broke and get knocked out. The briggs fight will earn him a decent wedge after that no more excuses,

Yep. Haye's still a massive name in the UK. Sad to say but he can keep on fighting bums and still get the big fight against Joshua. Boxing on free-to-air TV can't hurt him either.

Yes, now it's going to get easy for him again when he fights Shannon Briggs.

And I thought Mayweather and Canelo picked complete bums for opponents but man oh man, David Haye has topped them all! lol

Gjarbage was a total bum as I predicted. These are the kind of stiffs that Femi and Wilder have built a career on so no blame on Haye for playing that game, but no more. Briggs will at least offer something.

Why would a big name want to fight him?
He's too much risk for not enough reward.
He has no belts, he's nobodies mandatory.
He's getting his name back on the table ready for a big fight/pay day
