With the WBC belt off the table, Golovkin should accept 155lbs.

Don't compare me with two of them. I am actually a big Golovkin fan unlike them.

However, there are certain realities in boxing that I recognize and have to accept. Would I prefer that Canelo steps in the ring at 160 in timely manner and without any other cokblocking? Hell yes. But it's not that easy. Also, you have to remember that Canelo at one point also had to bow down and kiss the ring to Floyd. Also kill himself getting down to 152lbs.

Look, I want this fight to happen at whatever weight I can get it now. Not because I am excited about the matchup but because I want Golovkin to get that name under his resume finally. I want this to help him propel to where he can draw bigger and more exciting fights. I want him to be in position where he can make financial offers that only idiots would decline. That way I can finally see him fight A-listers instead of them ducking.

EDIT: Golovkin offered BJS $1.5 million dollars to fight him. BJS declined. Now imagine if Golovkin was actually able to offer him $5 million. Do you think BJS would decline then?

I think they should meet halfway here since one is clearly the bigger draw. 157-158 would be fair imo.

I want to see it at 160 but let's be realistic.

Isn't this what Pacquiao did to a lot of his competition in the late 2000's. It was like every fight was a catchweight, FFS.
