    Please discuss.

For me it went up a little, I thought Takam had an excellent chance of taking Parker out, so any win is a pass.

I thought at times he showed true top 10 ability, and in other times top 50. Without this test they didn't know what they needed to refine.

So to answer, it took a step up.

It confirmed he is definitely Top 10 material. Not just hype. But the young man has a bit to work on.

I guess his stock went up a bit.

He beat Takam, it has to go up. But still has things to work on.

Whilst I picked Parker by KO I think he did well considering the step up in quality. So I personally see it around the same maybe down slightly as his stamina and defence were poor at times. He will learn more from this fight than steamrolling the likes of Bergman and senior citizens like Tupou and Meehan.

He went up in my estimation. Showed great heart and determination, composure under pressure, and a solid chin. Needs to work a lot on his defence - but I knew he was limited in that respect prior to the fight. Don't think he'd beat Joshua as I've heard a lot of people say, but he'd certainly be his biggest test yet.

Definitely went up. He showed another side to his game. This guy doesn't just rely on power to win fights. He will most likely learn more from this fight than knocking opponents heads off in one or two rounds. Showed ring generalship has ability to box or brawl. Has good work rate, hand speed, good chin plus heart when it counts the most.

So overall an improving young prospect on the way up and up!

Who else has dropped Takam? Povetkin, after Takam was exhausted...

I still think Parker has power, as he sits down on his right hand strongly.

Am I missing something here. I watched the fight again this morning and all I can see is a clear but close decision to Takam.

Rounds Takam won were usually very easy to score and Parker took a hell of a lot of punishment . But the round parker won were usually because of Takams lack of work rate. I use the word usually as there were very few rounds which were easy to score for parker

I am not taking anything away from Parker because it was a hell of a step up in competition.but if I was Takam I would be very very annoyed of that decision.

Apart from the brief moments that Takam really turned it on he largely did very little. For portions of the fight he was throwing as little as a few punches per minute

It was a clear win for Parker by several rounds.

Most commentators are very clear on it. I saw it the same way.

Have watched the fight twice and the second time was even more clear.

    Parker 116-112
