Let's face it, if talking the talk won titles, Eubank would already be rated with Monzon and Hagler in the ATG lists. Calling out Gennady Golovkin (again) the day you announce a fight against a lad called Tom Doran just doesn't float my boat.

How long are can 27 year-old Eubank, 0-1 against opposition above British level, continue to avoid guys at world level while calling people out like a peak version of James Toney used to? The guy is now becoming tedious.

W@rren mentioned before that they actually rejected a GGG fight in the past. Let's see what he does after this fight, he's returning to Matchroom so was never going to have a tough fight on their first bill back with him. Not to disrespect Doran there but I don't give him much of a chance in this is all

It looked very much like cheap publicity Paddy, something about another 3 fights or so down the road. I don't expect him to fight Golovkin to be fair, but somebody like Monroe or Quillin surely isn't asking too much at this stage.

I'd like to see him against some of that ilk. It's odd, in the same interview he said "I'll fight GGG tomorrow" and then "I need a few more fights and then I'll go looking for a title"

Hit the nail on the head.

Imo he hasn't deeper since his loss to BJS, all team Eubank have done 8s gone back to fighting sub par fighters.

Saunders beats him again. He really needs to test the waters against a half decent world level fighter. Hell even a fight against Rosado would at least give us a gauge at were he's at.

Dunno, after the Blackwell fight, he needs to have some "easier fights" to get him back to being confident and having a killer instinct.
When he's in with Golovkin he'll need it, putting him in with triple GGG after the Blackwell fight and the circumstances of the almost tragic ending would be a horrific decision.
Besides Doran is a decent foe who should give him a few rounds.

Half of you picked Gary o'sullivan to beat him. We saw what happened there. Rinse and repeat for Blackwell. Both times CEJ has dished out destructive beatings. Just bringing some balance to the idea he is fighting bums.

BJS was his first 12 rounder. What a fight to start with.

All you lot are talking as if BJS completely smashed Eubank when they fought. I must have been watching a different fight as I thought once Eubank got going it was a very competitive fight

    Agreed.
Eubank did close to nothing in the first 4/5 rounds and came back strong. BJS won, but in my view it was because Eubank had the wrong gameplan.

I'm still amazed that he won an eliminator for the world title, spoke of how great it will be to win it and then didn't fight for it and is now fighting a domestic level fighter no one has really heard of.
