Was Haye/Cobra & Briggs/Zarate the biggest con show in boxing this year?

I saw both fights and it was so bad, it felt like fixed fights. I almost feel like both Briggs and Haye were in it together to con the public.

Haye's opponent went down from a few pitterpat jabs and Briggs threw a few shots and wins in the first round. Both opponents probably threw 10 shots combined lol.

Definately the worst boxing night I've seen in a while, this was more putrid than May/Pac.

    any thoughts?

    Typical Haye con job.

It was obvious this was going going to be awful before the fights were even announced

If Haye is offered a cash out fight with Joshua late this year, he will drop Briggs like a used condom

No, Canelo vs Khan was worse, that's was a champion defending a fake title vs somebody that never fought in his fake title weight, is a disgrace that that fight was allowed.

Haye is still doing his comeback and Briggs, well Briggs is Briggs, what do you expect...

    I didn't see it.

Maybe someone was conned. I don't know.
Anyone with a remote knowledge of boxing can't really complain though.

Anyone with any sense knew it was going to be a bunch of mismatches. The whole fight card was weird though, Dave lack the experience of putting on fight cards successfully.

The whole weird Lethal Bizzle gig in the middle of it all was just bizarre, made me think back to channel 4 TV in the 90's with shows like The Word were it was all a bit shambolic and amateurish.

Then you had the little snippets of Haye interviews throughout were Haye said nothing surprising or insightful. Once again cringe worthy and amateurish.

The commentators really did a great job of polishing a turd, but even they couldn't stick to their given story for the full night and made it clear in moments that they both fought terrible opposition.

At least Khan was a legit fighter with legit skills who would never take a dive.

These guys Grjfjfj and that Luigi guy just turned up for a pay check.
