A serious question who has Haye beaten at HW over his entire career to be considered top 10? His best win at HW is Chisora, and that was 4 years ago now. His latest opponent dived to the canvas after receiving a flick jab which touched his gloves. This is not a serious boxer at this point.
As an American I will admit how shockingly good the HW division is at the moment in the UK. Another UK fighter to look out for is Nick Webb
I agree 100%. Tyson Fury is a stylistic nightmare period, and AJs power is downright scary. However I wouldn't include conman Haye in that select group.
I said "in the same numbers they were". And besides, it's not about the numbers of Yanks who take up the sport. There will always be more of them. It's about the quality. Their elite, athletic big men stopped taking up the sport of boxing in the 90s. You are deluded if you think that the UK could otherwise rule the roost. Unless, of course, you think that the last 150 years of American dominance was a fluke?
Haye's last two opponents have been shocking. Last nights opponent took a dive. Haye has done nothing after years out of the ring to merit being a top 10 ranked fighter.
Couldn't agree more. Cant believe people put him on a pedestal when he clearly doesnt deserve to be anywhere near the top. On the other hand, AJ is quite impressive and looks set to dominate for a long time.
AJ is clearly the real deal and a top 5 HW already even at his young age. Once he goes through more fights against other top 20 HW's he is going to be very difficult to beat
Once again what a load of rubbish. So you say that big athletic men stopped taking up the sport in the 90s, was that because of Lennox Lewis? If Lewis had not have been around its possible people would be mentioning fighters like M Grant who could possibly have become a HW champ if he hadnt run into Lennox. The last 150 years? You forget there was an iron wall which came down in 89. You have been schooled and amusingly you say its not about the numbers even though there are over 10 times the amount of American HW boxers to British and more American HW boxers than the whole of Europe. Statistics themselves make your arguement sound weak, especially when America started the HW factory So once again you are talking rubbish
Wilder could well be in a good position to get a match up with a top British HW. Wilder is now not facing Povetkin and had the HW champ enter the ring saying he was willing to face him.
Who was beaten by Roy Jones years earlier and got gift corrupt decisions to hold onto the title. Naw man. Chisora is a better win than Valuev.
