I have been a strong critic of Wilder previously, but he is blameless in this situation. Povetkin put the fight in jeopardy by failing a drugs test, end of.
Nope. Postponed only. Wilder will still get to prove his worth against Sasha. :yep I'm looking forward to it! Are you?:think
He does not want the fight Povetkin "i want to fight him hopefully we change the date" Wilder "If they make me fight him i will drop the belt" povetkin wants the fight wilder does not
If you think Povetkin is trash I guess you haven't been following the sport too long. You don't beat Chris Byrd, Chagaev, Chambers, Perez, Huck, Takam and go the distance with Wlad as "trash" If there is any trash here it's Wilder's resume. 36 fights he has who??? Stiverne who was proven to not be elite. Yeah if you don't like Wilder's career this postponement is only going to reinforce your views on him same way if you like a fighter and something positive reinforces your views on them.
This Meldonium nonsense gives Wilder the high road whatever he's a paper champ hoping Wlad gets ancient or Fury gets fat. In meantime he'll keep fighting Molina's, Szpilka's, Duhaupas's of the world and his fanboys will believe he is the next Tyson. Guys like Tyson, Lewis, Holmes know he is a fraud.
Maybe because different testing methods was used? Or maybe it was a mistake many things can explain it
It depends on the sensitivity and consistency of the testing methods. When dealing with such minute amounts your methods have to be spot-on each time. I very much suspect VADA is re-testing those earlier samples yet again to see if something wasn't overlooked. To put things in perspective, the amount detected was well under the "fail" limit of 1 mg as per WADA. Once the WBC and testing bodies come to a conclusion, we can talk about PEDvetkin or Povetkin as the case may warrant.
